Have just returned from a group Christmas Lunch at The Pines. Arrived half an hour early and had a drink overlooking Swanage Bay. Our meal (for 40 people) was delicious: I had a fishl cake starter, which was the best I have tasted. For the main course I chose hake which was well presented and very tasty. For desert I...

Stayed here for one Saturday night in December and a really good hotel. Staff are attentive and the service is very good. We had a sea view and it was stunning. The bar prices were okay and the food in restaurant at dinner was faultless, first class. Breakfast was served to the table and none of this buffet lark so...

We stayed here for a night as we love Swanage, and have never been out of season. The Hotel is very dated and in need of some real TLC. The staff were friendly & we had paid for a sea view, but for the price I would have expected better in terms of the room! The view to the sea...

We won a meal 3 course for 2 people at The Pines Hotel Swanage in the village hall draw earlier this year and chose last hight to go for it. Booking was easy via the phone, on arrival we were given the chance to have a drink in the bar or go straight to dinner as the table was ready....

Booked 2 single rooms and were offered 2 small doubles at the same price, also with sea views. One room was lovely, with a balcony. Beautifully furnished. The other room was quite small but unfortunately smelt very damp. The staff were apologetic and delightful and arranged a change. They had had a problem with water leakage and thought it had...
