Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I stayed at this lovely hotel last week on the 21st and 22nd and would just like to say what a fabulous time we had. The hotel decor was lovely and very much in keeping for a Country House Hotel, all of the rooms were clean and well presented, the staff were very welcoming and professional in everything they did and the quality of the food and service were both excellent. We were unable to travel on our original date and the receptionist Donna was extremely helpful in finding us another date for our visit, and during our stay Henrietta was really helpful advising us where to go locally to get the most out of our visit. The Restaurant Manager Graziano was amazing, very attentive and so knowledgeable with his advice on menu choice and wine pairing. The Game Tasting menu was memorable, the best we've had. He was ably assisted by our waitress Heather who was friendly polite and charming, and did everything she could to make sure we had whatever we needed. All in all a super short break and we will certainly be back to Wingrove House in the future.

A perfect night away for a birthday celebration. The room was beautifully clean, the bathroom with free standing bath a real highlight. Incredible food (best fillet steak we have ever had!) and the service was exceptional. Thank you to everyone at Wingrove, it was the first time away from our little ones in a very long time and we couldn’t have asked for a better break. We hope to be back soon!

We joined family and friends for our parents’ golden wedding celebration and it was just amazing, everything we had hoped it would be. Beautiful venue, the service was faultless and the food was incredible. The intimate private dining room made the evening even more special and we absolutely have to mention Graziano who looked after us and made the evening even better with his good humour and charm, thankyou so much!

We celebrated a special wedding anniversary with eight family and friends with a meal in the private dining room and an overnight stay. The setting and food were faultless and the staff were superb and made it a very special occasion.

Such a blissful stay, I wish it was longer! Upon arrival you walk through the beautifully kept garden once in the house we were met by a lovely member of staff, who was friendly and welcoming! We were in room 3 which was so cozy and well decorated, we also had a lovely view from the room. There were so many lovely touches sprinkled on top, for example the Macarons and coffee machine in the room!! Before heading down to the restaurant we sat on the stunning balcony and enjoyed a drink. Then to the best part- the food! It was all of such a high standard and the staff are all so friendly and professional! We will definitely be back to try more from their exceptional menu…it all looked great! We had to leave early the next morning, so sadly weren’t able to have a sit down breakfast. However, the team was so accommodating and sent us on our way with a breakfast box, with pastries, fruit salad, yoghurts and cereal. Absolutely delicious!

Visited overnight for a visit to Glyndebourne. What a lovely experience. Room on top floor was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a beautiful bathroom as good as any I have ever had with bath, enormous shower and privacy. Staff were charming and breakfast excellent with good choice including kippers as well as usual options. The terraced garden is a pleasant shady place to sit in summer too.
