Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. On arrival I realised the window in my room didn't open and was frosted. I asked to change rooms which they happliy accomadated without extra charge. It just got bettter , my room was comfortable and room to hang my clothes. The Shower was excellent and a large window which you could see out. Coco at the restaurant was extremely kind and offered great service. Great location - 15 mins walking distance from the train station, approx 10 min walk to sea front. Excellent variety of shops/ markets / restaurant / Galleries /bars . I would definetly visit again!

This was a repeat visit for us. Special mention to Luke, front of desk, who responded promptly to my e mails and was at the desk to welcome us. I know that the hotel is now a bit dated but it is very clean and staff are excellent. We had a superior room overlooking Jubilee Square, unfortunately the Library opposite has huge flood lights that stay on all night which does mean the room was never totally dark, however the hotel provides a Sleep kit, of earbuds and eye coverings. Mini bar was well stocked and reasonably priced, as we booked direct we also received a £10 credit for the mini bar as well as a 20% discount in the bar. A nice touch is fresh fruit by door of the lift for guests to help themselves. Breakfast, provided at the Meanwhile , was yet again full of fresh high quality ingredients.Staff and chefs were so friendly, efficient and always prepared to chat . I know people have different expectations, but for us we will definitely continue to using My Brighton.

2 night stay, clean, good location, friendly front desk. Could improve….,,, No external sign for car parking, access code could have been sent by txt avoiding having to park on a busy street first. Key pads on lift and doors are not backlit and require kneeling down to see and enter code. No bedside power points to charge phone/iPad etc. Necessary to get out of bed to turn off lights.. no bedside light. Bar was closed. Breakfast provided in adjacent cafe Good quality but be aware you can only choose one item from menu, it’s likely you will be better served just paying for what you want. Despite requesting Gluten free bread, breakfast was served with normal bread, this could have been a very serious error

just so disapointed with this place, some staff were rude and disinterested - the guy on reception though was excellent, my advice is avoid this place - there are better, cheapr and cleaner places. the hotel entrance was full of homeless people in the evenings, which i know is sad but we didnt want to have to negotiate that drunk and full up from our dinner , rooms are small, pokey and cheap looking and i even paid an extra £60 at the hotel to upgrade when we got there ,they dont clean the rooms for goodness sake if you stay for more than a day, the staff in the restaurant were rude, slow and surly, we only had coffee and tea in there because of this..honestly it was a pretty shocking place , stay in a travelodge it will be better, very expensive for a very poor place

I stayed on 30th September for one night, as part of a hen do group. 3 rooms of 2 guests. I personally stayed in room 174 and was surprisingly pleased, hotel was nicer than i expected as we had tried to find a cheap hotel as was only for one night. The staff were pleasant, the room was clean, my only feedback is that the style of the bathrooms give no privacy what so ever. Luckily i was staying with a friend ive known a long time, perhaps this is because we booked a double room rather than two singles? but the shower screen and toilet door are completely see through! There is also a bit cut out in the bathroom wall for you to see straight through. The bed was comfy, tea and coffee in the room provided and a mini bar if you wanted to spend your ££. You are given a code to use in the lift and to get into your room rather than a key which was easier. We had no disturbance, no loud people staying on our floor, everything went well. Only hiccup was when trying to recieve our bags out of the luggage room, took ages (there was 6 of us!) Hotels location is handy, not on the main road, but close enough to everything you need. All in all, i'm pretty happy with our stay and would stay again.

Well located hotel, helpful reception, nearby to many brighton tourist sites. Rooms are spacious but hotel feels due a refurb to maximise its location. Ok at some price points but wouldn't say high end. Close by to many restaurants and Brighton attractions.

This is meant to be a 4/5 star hotel, nowwhere near it!!!!! 1st I had to buy extra clothing hangers because they have no spares!!!!!!!! There was no room service at all,i had to go downstairs to get some wine and that seemed to be a major problem, next the room was very tired the carpet was covered in stains (shake and vac) might have helped, they only service the rooms every 3 days and requests for water and t bags seemed to take for ever, the lack of privacy in the room when having to use the toilet was unacceptable, ie a net curtain, not enough storage and lack of power sockets did not help, the plus point is the location very central and everything easy to get too, i have stayed in a lot of hotels in this area but im afraid i cannot recommend it

As the title describes, this was another perfect stay for me and my fiancée at My Brighton. Both my fiancée & I have stayed in this hotel three times previously in the standard rooms which I may add are very lovely, clean and comfortable, I decided as an early anniversary surprise I would book the Jade Room and I’m so pleased I did. We stayed in room 371 (25th to 28th August), as with our previous stays, the room was very clean, modern and 100% worth the extra money (Would definitely recommend this room if you’re planning a romantic weekend away or celebrating an anniversary). As these are more ‘premium rooms’ it was lovely to have the option at the end of the day to either have a shower or a bath, even though the room had floor to ceiling windows, I never felt like our privacy was invaded and these windows made the room feel very bright, light and airy. The hotel does offer parking at a small fee, however when you compare this cost to other parking fees around the city it does make sense to pay for this optional extra and to save the time looking or trying to book parking elsewhere, the reception who checked us out this morning was kind enough to allow us to park for a couple of hours extra free of charge which was really appreciated. As with all previous visits, the staff have always been very professional, friendly and are always available to help with any questions. Location wise the hotel is a 10 minute walk to the beach/sea/pier, a 5 minute walk to the North Laines and a 2 minute walk to Kensington Gardens along with plenty of other little independent shops, bars and restaurants. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Brighton, I 100% can recommend this hotel and will definitely look to book it and the same room when I return on my next visit. Thank you all once again for a lovely time!
