I have nothing negative to say. Myself, my husband and friends were taking part in the Brighton Half Marathon and wanted to be near the start. The location was ideal and from there it only got better. From beginning to end David and Eric made our stay so special. The B & B itself is decorated beautifully and there is...

Came here years ago when I was a single man, back again mid Feb '17 for my wedding night! I came back largely for the customer service, which is impeccable. The owners are so attentive, we were treated so well, and saw other people being made a similar fuss of! This is a good thing! The breakfast is the best...

Second visit here, and the hotel is as gorgeous as ever, rooms are well thought out and equipped and the location is perfect for heading into town, very close. The best part is the guys who run the place, friendly and accommodating, they really care about every detail and making sure we have a good stay. That service is why...

Not a big hotel just a B & B but self assured in its own right. The owner was service personified from the moment we arrived and jumped in our car with a 24 hour parking permit and guided us to his secret stash of parking spaces a few minutes walk away. If you know Brighton sea front parking you...

We took a spur of the moment trip to Brighton & based on the online reviews stayed here. The reviews are right, this is a find. Loved the stained glass & original fireplace in the room which was perfectly planned for a one or two night stay. A fresh cooked breakfast, help parking the car & restaurant recommendations before we even...

Arrived to find that we had been upgraded for free - a nice surprise! We had a lovely room with a stained glass balcony - was a bit cold and wet for sitting in but looked great! Lots of small, personal touches in the room, which made it special. Breakfast was fabulous - all beautifully presented, with local and organic...

Had a wonderful 2 night stay. David and Eric are exceptional hosts with lots of attention to detail in the styling of the rooms, the lovely breakfast and making their guests feel welcome. In a good area too with most of Brighton easy to walk to but tucked away in a quieter side street. Very recommendable!

Stayed just one night, for the first time in this guest house. The owners, David and Eric are very friendly. It is a small place (apparently 7 rooms only), clean and well-appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Very good breakfast. Brighton is full of tacky, run-down places to stay, and many hotels or guest houses are pricey for what they...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Guest and the City is a boutique Guesthouse that reflects all that we love about Brighton. With seven private bedrooms, situated in the heart of Kemptown, minutes from the centre of Brighton, 30 seconds from the beach and opposite the famous Palace Pier, it’s the perfect location to explore Brighton for Business or pleasure. We want our guesthouse to reflect everything we like about staying in Brighton. Guest in the City therefore takes the best bits of a traditional B&B – a relaxed, friendly service, a central location and of course a top-notch breakfast with locally sourced ingredients – and puts them in modern, high-spec surroundings. The result is a boutique feel without luxury prices. To us, that’s what Brighton is all about – finding new things that surprise you and make you smile. ... more   less
