Great location for this stylish hotel. Everything is just so right. Managed to book a basement room for me and my 21 year old son and we both thought it was Uber Cool. Car park over the street is also very secure, and the breakfast was perfect.

We stayed for one night as a group of friends. The staff were warm, welcoming & friendly. The large room that sleeps 6 in the basement was homely, cosy & spacious. All the beds were super comfortable + a generous sized bathroom with both bath, shower & lovely products to use!

Hello Kate G, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice review! We are really glad that we created a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere for you here at The Artist Residence Brighton and the fact you found the room homely really adds to that and sums up what we are trying to achieve. You'll have to pop into The Set next time as they really do have some delicious treats to offer but it's good that you managed to get into the Hanbury cocktail bar (after you had found it of course!) We are really glad you enjoyed your stay and if you like what we do and how we do it you can check out our other sites on London, Penzance and Oxford and coming soon... Bristol! Although we are looking forward to welcoming you back here in Brighton! Best wishes, Douglas and The ARB Team

Invited to Christmas Day lunch with Brighton friends whose house was chock-a-block with relatives, we suddenly needed a one-night stay that night. Hence we booked a double room with sea view in this delightful hotel. This is not your typical, formal hotel. Everything about it

Hello GreyNomad100, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, your feedback is really important to us! It's good to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us over the Christmas period and I hope your lunch was good despite being chock-a-block. We try to create an enjoyable, fun and friendly environment for all our guests and the fact you enjoyed everything decoration wise even down to our labyrinth of corridors means that hopefully we did that for you! The rooms really are cosy but that view does make up for it! Hopefully the sun came out for you so you could enjoy the square and the sea to its full potential! The Set provide such an interesting eclectic choice of mouth watering treats for you to start your day the right way and we are really happy you made the most of this! Really sorry to hear about the issue with your hot water this doesn't normally happen but I am glad to hear that the issue was resolved with as little hassle as possible, hopefully you can come stay with us again and we can make up for it even more! If you liked our wacky style then do check out our other branches in London, Oxford, Pencanze and coming soon.... Bristol! Best wishes, Douglas and The ARB Team

hi Hilary, even the large rooms are fairly cosy because the hotel is a tall building but not vast. As such, I don't think there are rooms for 3 adults. You might want to call the hotel nevertheless. Best wishes, Alexandra

Dear Chris, Thank you very much for your enquiry. After following our guest's feedback I would say our Medium Sea View or Bigger House Sea view with Balcony are best rooms in the house! If you have any more questions, please do let me know. Best regards, Malwina
