Incredible meal In a fantastic surrounding, downstairs in the hotels old cellar rooms! Staff were great too and the hotel is clean and lovely! We are distant relatives of Captain Nicholas Tettersell who bought the hotel many many years ago!

Our second time at this Hotel. It is in an excellent position, right on the sea front ,near to the pier & easy walking distance of the shops ,pubs & restaurants. Very good breakfast. The rating would have been higher , however we had a sea view room & the noise from outside can be heard until the early hours,...

We enjoyed 2 nights at this hotel, public areas and the lift are in need of refurbishment but our room was nice and comfortable. Hotel gym was small but practical and I didn't see anyone else using it. Great location for all that Brighton has to offer. Didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on food but bar staff...

I stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending a conference nearby. This is not the first time I have stayed here and I am pleased to say it was as comfortable and welcoming as last time. The staff are very professional, friendly and eager to give good service. The Irish gentleman who is a member of staff was particularly helpful...

We only stayed for one night but really enjoyed this hotel. The service was great from everyone , the breakfasts good quality and large enough to keep even the biggest fry up fan happy. The hotel is right on the sea front and within minutes walk from The Lanes with its great selection of bars and restaurants. Our room was...

Just returned from an overnight break to Brighton and stay at The Old Ship. Lovely old hotel in an ideal location right on the seafront road, fronting The Lanes. Check in was easy with the friendliest of staff and even though we had arrived early, our room was ready enabling us to enjoy a cold but glorious day. The hallways/corridors...

Stayed at The Old Ship for Brighton Pride weekend. Hotel was very accommodating for the weekend - decorated to celebrate the diversity of its guests. Room was comfortable (although could have had a little spruce up). Friendly staff. Would happily stay there again. So close to the beach front.

We had booked this as part of a Hen weekend and we were all looking forward to having Afternoon Tea on our last day. We arrived and we were told we were too late but we checked our booking and we were on time. Sitting at the table we noticed that one of the cups hadn't been washed ! When...

Only stayed for one night, it was perfectly adequate for this and well located but I wouldn't rush back. The room was quite compact and in parts looked a bit tired, however it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff seemed efficient and were checking in a large number of people without any issues as quickly as they...

Dear alliei80, Thank you for your review. All downstairs area had been done up only very recently, and I'm glad you liked it. Being under new owner ship, we hope to announce refurbishment in a near future. New signage is being added up. Being an older building there are lots of corners, which adds up to the charm of the...
