Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent value for money no frills hotel in a great location near brighton station. Dog friendly too and has a handy bar. Decent sized bath towel. Shame about the PGTips and Nescafé though yuk! Friendly staff, overall clean room and well lit bathroom, but the shower was a bit lukewarm which I reported to reception. Definitely recommend for a stopover

Nice and useful for a short week day stay with close access to almost everything, have been before and have made a default place when visiting. Views and rooms a good deal for the reasonable price, along with breakfast that is daily served. Have further trips planned here in the coming winter seasons.

Me and my partner had an amazing stay for our anniversary. I must mention that Junior was so helpful and kind, helped us with the parking, gave us a room with a nice view and that made our stay even more enjoyable. We had received a drink voucher for 2 and we used it to purchase 2 coffees, that was done by the skilful Eszera( cannot remember exactly how her name was spelled, sorry), but we are greateful for you. You’re both a great asset to the hotel and you made us feel like home. Thanks and hope to see you soon! 😊

This is a very nice, well-run Ibis located right next to the train-station. The hotel is very pleasant. The bar and restaurant were closed during my stay, as it was on New Year's Day. The room was quite spacious for this price-range and very comfortable. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. A good place to stay.

IBIS Hotel Brighton 24_27 Dec 2023 I have stayed at this IBIS Hotel a couple of times before when visiting Brighton. It offers comfortable beds and has sufficiently well-equipped clean rooms. This Christmas visit was with my adult daughter visiting family and we both agreed that this hotel is very affordable and good standard for Brighton. Location: Perfect if coming into Brighton with train. Just 2 minutes down Queens Road on the left as you leave the railway station. A ten minute walk down to the seafront and the centre of town. Service: Young professional, friendly staff. It was lovely to see so many smiling faces on the reception and in the breakfast restaurant, who seem to actually enjoy the service profession. They made our stay extra satisfying. Food: Breakfast was very adequate with both a full English available as well as cereals and yogurt. Really a good start to the day in this budget hotel.

So I have written a review for here earlier in the year, however this one is for this time round. Liking this spot enough that it has become a regular potato stay in Brighton and ticks all the boxes for stuff to do in the week. Of course the winter season is ideal for doing stuff while using this hotel as a base, same sort of great stuff here with rooms, beds and breakfast, plus always cleaned well by the house ladies. Highly Recommended 😄

Worst stay ever! Check-in went smoothly but upon opening the door to the room the smell hit us, raw sewage! Couldn't even leave the door open to air it, partner went to reception and they instantly gave us another room.. (did they know about the smell already?) However instead of a double we were given a family room, this had the sofa bed made up and two singles pushed together! Not ideal for a first romantic birthday getaway! Tried the sofa bed but mattress was thin, uncomfortable and filthy! We struggled to fold it away So that we had a little room to move round. So two singles pushed together, my partner fell through the gap first directly onto the floor, then me! Asked for another room but was lied to and told it was fully booked, however managed to pre book three other double rooms through their own website! No instructions for the heating/air con so room was freezing and noisy! Late checkout so put the do not disturb sign on the door to try and catch up on lost sleep, however the cleaner knocked on the door every time she passed from 7.30 onwards! We did complain but no response other than offering a discount on another stay.. NO THANKS NEVER AGAIN!
