Nestled between the city and the South Downs, Brighton campsite offers the best of both worlds. The site is located just a short distance inland from Brighton Marina, with its shops and restaurants, and 2 miles east of vibrant central Brighton where you'll find traditional seaside attractions, good shopping and plenty of restaurants. Don't miss the spectacular Royal Pavilion and its gardens, and nearby Lewes also has plenty of history to explore. For those wanting to explore the countryside, the South Downs are right on your doorstep.

An excellent level location on the eastern edge of Brighton, groceries available in Kemptown and the centre itself within easy walking distance. The marina and the coast are easily accessible about 10 mins walk. The park and playing fields are well kept and well used, sheep grazing on the hill behind, the roadway is not as badly potholed as some reviews suggest, care in a couple of places is sufficient.

Just returned from 2 nights in one of the experience freedom glamping pods which the pictures don’t do it justice, it’s a triumph of clever design maximising limited space and achieving a near perfect finish. The full size pull out bed was amazing, the great little touches like the welcome hamper and the disposable BBQ were great. We didn’t have a sea view but just lying in bed with our phones linked up to the Bluetooth speaker listening to music and watching the clouds roll by was bliss. The entire 2 days were great, the pod was clean and felt brand new. So how could this experience be 5 star, firstly the WiFi Is very poor. WiFi is now unfortunately an everyday essential, and you expect free decent WiFi as a given. The pod was cold and underfloor heating would be a better option as opposed to the noisy heating system they have at present. The heating would kick in through the night and each time sounded like a hand dryer being used and would wake us each time. Finally the bed was lumpy and old, why you have not opted for memory foam beds as this would be more befitting the high standard of the pod. Overall these little things still didn’t spoil an amazing experience and we will be coming back.

Nice sheltered site with good facilities, hard standing electric hook up pitches. about 1.2 miles to Brighton Marina, with Asda (bit a massive car park to walk through), and then the Marina itself is lovely with masses of restaurants - recommend Zizzi. Brighton itself is a bit but worth walking along Madeira Drive to get there, with shops, Palace Pier, the Lanes, again great restaurants (more non-chains) - recommend Food for Friends (even if you are not vegetarian), and Bella Italia. The western side of the site, behind the reception is nicely sheltered from sea winds and inland. We were there on a pretty wet and windy weekend in December and it was noticeable how calm these pitches were.

We have just finished our first stay here.
Try not to get confused by the approach, you turn into what looks like a public park, unfortunately with no thought for the caravan park the approach is made tough by parking (and a Covid testing centre) along with some abysmal pot holes so beware.
As one would expect in this mad world the usual staff Covid coldness welcomes you.
This is a big site but very well spaced out with large pitches.
My huge bad point is the rather bizarre method of not giving you a pitch number. Instead you have to navigate around the entire park looking for a pitch that matches your colour. Yes there is a map but when there are others doing the same and the place is fully booked this is a quite ridiculous way of operating.
Not only that but once you have been lucky enough to find one you then have to trek all the way back to reception to tell them what pitch you have.
My anger comes in that they know therefore who is in what pitch but they cannot be bothered to tell you which ones are free! I suspect they will blame Covid but come one where is the friendly approach??
This also we noted drives the behaviour of people reserving pitches for friends with chairs.
My only other moan is as other reviews Dog Walkers who seem unable to actually walk their dog to a walking area but instead wander around the pitches letting their dogs mess literally outside your van, nice!
The toilets are clean and warm and the showers good, subject to the usual draconian Covid measures.
The playground is small and tired and not really any good for more than 6 kids at a time.
Overall this is a nice site and once you do find a pitch it is surprisingly peaceful, night and day.
Please just help people find a pitch when you know what is free!!

We spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The site is clean, well run and the staff are very helpful. The perimeter pitches feel quite secluded and cosy. It is ideally located for the town with everything within walking distance for anybody who is reasonably fit. For the less mobile, there is always the option of the mini railway which runs up to the pier. Asda and the Marina is just down the hill about a 15 minute walk or a few minutes by car. There is plenty to see and do but dog owners may be a little limited as we found a lot of places didn't like the hounds. Even Weatherspoons wouldn't let us sit outside with a dog! (1 star for Spoons). The East Brighton Park Café, on the approach road, do amazing breakfasts and a great variety of food, Lovely people!
When I arrived, I realised that I had no blue chemical for my loo. The shop was out of stock, so the member of staff sold me his own new bottle from his caravan. How nice was that? Thank you!

We have been camping at Brighton for many years now, there is always a lovely welcome and people on hand to help and guide if needed. The site is a hidden gem of Brighton with a lovely walk into the city or down to the marina for food. There is a bus route into the town and a good taxi service if needed.
The site has good shower blocks and washing up facilities also there is a Laundrette on site as well.

This was our 2nd stop on this years motorhome gander. Great site and great location. Typical layout with the motorhome and Caravan club site, toilets and showers very good indeed, great location to walk into Brighton town and close to the Marina.
My only disappointment was the cost... £96 for 2 nights was steep to say the least.
I suppose thats why membership is the right way to go, but all in all a good site.

This being our 5th stay at this site, albeit not for a few years, I was disappointed. The location is still great obviously but the staff not so helpful. Facilities were clean but surroundings were untidy. Pitch was great size. Paid for Wi-fi which went down on the 2nd day never to return, only 42 pitches out of 153 could receive it and nothing was done. Needless to say, I couldn't work for 2 weeks which cost me money. We needed gas, went to reception and they hadn't sold it for years but it is still on their information leaflet, we had to go 12 miles round trip to get some. I think the staff need to up their game, will not be returning any time soon.

We booked online and paid in full one night to stay in our converted green transit. When we arrived it said on a sign it was full. My husband walked into the reception and the man said 'No! You wont be able to stay here. We dont accept converted campers'. No hello, no professionalism at all. Then the Manager came out and asked if we were members. They said there website makes it clear they do not accept converted campers. It does not. Infact it does say they welcome people who are not members. They do not. This left us with no where to stay at 2pm on Saturday in Brighton. To be clear our camper is beautifully fitted out, it does not look like a commercial vehicle.
We have previously stayed without problems in Camping and Caraving sites. I would not recommend staying here under any circumstances.

I visit the Brighton Caravan Club site frequently, as I have friends and family in the area.
Throughout the year, it is excellent! The location is great, staff friendly, site very well kept and toilet blocks well maintained and cleaned. Sadly, it is some of the fellow visitors who leave the toilets in an appalling state for the next vistor to use. Have they not used a toilet brush before?!
Interesting reading a previous review about losing your chosen pitch if you go out in your motorhome. You are reminded to leave something on your pitch to say that it is taken and in any case, your barrier numbered key card given when you have checked in and chosen your pitch, should ensure that this does not happen, as the staff will know it has been allocated. Lidls is very close by and there is now an excellent place to have coffee/lunch or just a snack on site, which is privately owned and run by a very friendly guy. Brighton city centre is a good walk away or you can take the bus which stops about a 10 minute walk from the site.Brighton Marina, a 15 minute walk down from the site has Asda and several restaurants.Don't let some previous negative reviews put you off visiting!

Take a look on the Swift website. Look for Swift SPod 4 and you will see a bathroom image and layout. Sorry not allowed to post a link or image It’s a proper full sized shower The pods are compact but shower room is a decent size

We also walked into Brighton along the promenade, which is quite pleasant and takes approx 20-30 mins. There is a regular bus service a few mins from the site into Brighton if you didn't want to go to the marina
