Great location and a very cute room. Some of the more negative reviews seem to be expecting a lot for the price they’re paying.. This is great value for money and we will be back, thank you! (Only constructive criticism would be that it’s slightly inconvenient to have a period of time in the evening where no one is present to check you in)

Stayed for 1 night in double room at front of hotel on 2nd floor. Room was spacious, warm, clean and pretty. Bathroom small but very clean and well appointed. Great view of the sea during some wild and windy weather. Host was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed and everyone slept really well. Great price and excellent location, very close to everything we wanted to see during our short stay. Would definitely stay again.

Dear Louise, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay as we appreciate all feedback we receive. We are very happy to hear that we have met your expectation and you have enjoyed your spotlessness room as we really do take cleaning procedures and policies very seriously especially due to the after effect of COVID. We pride ourselves on the service we provide, and we are always happy to hear when the staff gets a mention in positive reviews. We would love to welcome you again in the near future. So if you do decide to come back to Brighton in the future please give us a call direct and we can offer you a returning guest.

It would be inaccurate to leave a bad review but Strawberry Fields doesn't warrant a glowing review either. The location cannot be faulted, being very close to the pier and if you get the right angle in the room it does in actual fact have a sea view. Also it has on street parking outside the hotel - if you are lucky enough to secure a space this is probably amongst the cheapest parking in Brighton. The room, while not being luxurious, is comfortable but does appear a little tired and could do with a bit of a refurb. The en-suite shower room is small but clean and serves its purpose. In this COVID era, it is understandable that some services are restricted - there is no housekeeping while you are in residence but if you need anything all you need to do is ask at reception - we ran out of milk in the room and it was replenished with no drama when we mentioned it. If price is an issue it is worth mentioning that this comes in at a very reasonable figure which does make it good value for money

Booked the strawberry fields last minute. When arriving the receptionist was friendly. Our room was 3 floors up and we had to use the stairs which were wonky and quite dangerous. There was a gap under our door which was not good. Someone could have looked under the door or something could have been put under our door. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The carpets were ripped a little. Not very private and you can hear the people next doors conversations. We couldn’t find the remote for our TV so went down to reception. We tried around 6 different remotes and none of them worked so we were unable to watch the TV. The hotel is in a good location and is around 15 min walk from the pier and has restaurants around the back of it. We would stay again if we had a room on the first 2 floors.

We stayed here last week for a few days. We booked an attic room - during the heatwave and it was boiling! (Heatwaves don’t happen often!) but we borrowed a couple of fans which helped a lot. The guesthouse was lovely & clean & a perfect location - just a couple of minutes walk from the beach & only 5 -10 minutes from the main town. It’s fairly basic but a great base to explore Brighton & the staff were helpful too. Parking was more difficult but we found a space right outside the guest house & paid using the app. Would stay here again for basic accommodation & affordable price. Thank you!
