A perfect stay in a perfect location in Hastings Old Town. Walking distance from sea, great shops and restaurants. Bars aplenty! Jane and David were warm and kind hosts and the two bedrooms and bathrooms are charming and spotless. Breakfast choice and quality was excellent. Highly recommended.

Gallery 53 is well located in the Old Town and has many surrounding interesting shops and streets. Jane and David are warm and friendly hosts. The rooms and bathrooms are immaculate and very comfortable. A delicious breakfast is served in rooms with nothing too much trouble. Would certainly recommend Gallery 53 and hope to visit again.

We didn't stay here but did buy some art. There was so much more stuff we could have bought as we loved it so much. The owners were so friendly and helpful and showed us round their b&b which look delightful but they weren't letting rooms at the time. When we come back to the area we will definitely be...

A real treasure of a place. Booked for 2 nights and stayed 5. A very comfortable and interesting stay with our discrete hosts in their lovely house and gallery. We first stayed at Gallery 53 two years ago, and had been looking forward to the chance to revisit, which we finally managed to do last week. As before, the room was everything we needed - beautiful, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was delicious, and as before we found the hosts the perfect combination of friendly but not too much!...

We only stayed at Gallery 53 for one night for a little getaway, but the place was so cosy and inviting, and the hosts so friendly that we left wishing we were staying a second night! The room (we stayed in the larger front 'red' room) and large adjoining bathroom were beautifully decorated and clean, and so comfortable you'll find...
