My husband and I stayed with our 2 dogs. We found the the staff very friendly, our dogs were welcomed with open arms. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We had a lovely sea view, although you do have to compromise quietness for the view as it is a main road. That wasn't an issue for us as if we'd wanted peace and quiet we wouldn't have gone to a busy seaside resort! We felt comfortable here and had a really nice stay. We've never take our dogs away before, and I was pleased at how they were just accepted as part of the family, not just in the hotel, but in the pubs and cafes too.

It was our first time in Hastings and we stayed here for a part of the August Bank Holiday Weekend. It was a lovely, quiet place to stay. Its simple, nicely decorated and comfortable to stay in. The lady on reception was super helpful too. The room had a lovely view of the seafront and the bed was comfortable (if a bit freaky). The room had pretty much everything we needed, I think the only thing we could’ve done with was a small bin in the main room to put rubbish in (there’s a small bin in the bathroom but wasn’t big enough for other rubbish) but other than that, we can’t fault it. Would happily book and stay again.

We haven’t been away for ages and really needed to get away from it all. This hotel looked nice on the website but our room was tiny and awfully decorated and smelt of chemicals and had a terrible view - not the sea view we were expecting. We were initially offered a refund so we booked somewhere else but when we went to check out, the receptionists back-tracked on that and told us we had to try for a refund via booking.com. They also got quite abrupt when we challenged this. Not happy. Holiday ruined.😔

Great location, and upon arrival a nice welcome and check in pain free and quick, an amazing room I had with my Dog Dexter, Small but very very clean and an ensuite, and amazing seaview and perfect for our needs. I loved staying here, nice staff, amazing location, cross the road and you are on the beach. No Breakfast, but two minutes down the road at the Black Rock you can get a great breakfast for a tenner. I loved the Astral soo much I am going back at the end of August, fingers crossed I can get the same room. Ricky
