Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Spectacular! Beautiful room and view and lots of lovely little details which show that they really care about their guests' experience. An incredibly stylish stay, the the breakfast was top notch with homemade blueberry pancakes and home cured smoked salmon.

Karen , Malcolm and Rosie were so welcoming . Everyone should meet Rosie! The Breakfast was fabulous, the bed really comfortable and the Red room was large. Great stay . Recommend to anyone to go. Both Malcolm and Karen had good local knowledge and tried many of their recommendations. Location in the High Street really handy.

We spent two nights at The Laindons and really enjoyed the hotel. Great location in old town with everything easily accessible. Karen and Malcolm were endearing hosts. Malcolm even went out of his way and found us some balsamic vinegar at breakfast. Breakfast was excellent and varied. Well worth a stay if you’re in Hastings and we would certainly return.

Just wonderful. We had the yellow room - it was perfect. Loads of space and more thoughtful additions in the room than in most 5* hotels. Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and kept us full until tea time. Karen who looked after us was both helpful and interesting. If we are down that way again we will definitely book to stay

I try to avoid Air B and B these days due to how much it is damaging communities. This place is brilliant. Such lovely hosts. Great rooms. Lovely breakfast. I loved my stay here. Met at the door. So friendly. Comfy. Thoughtful- a true community enhancing B and B.

Lovely boutique B&B in the centre of the old town. Stylish, comfortable accommodation with every need catered for and a great breakfast too. Parking passes are offered which solves the limited parking problem in the centre. Charming, friendly hosts couldn’t do enough for us. We’ll be back for another stay.

We loved our short stay at laindons. From the moment we arrived (well before check in ) to drop our bags we were showed to our room (coral) It was filled with luxury touches which we really noticed and the attention to detail was first class Breakfast absolutely top notch and again lots of little extras - the fresh juice and smoothie delicious We ate at the crown pub which I would highly recommend. We are foodie people and usually disappointed but not this time We chatted to some locals who told us to walk to starskey and hutch for a good coffee which we did the next morning All in all a pleasant little visit to Hastings old town

A wonderful B&B. The red room was absolutely wonderful and had everything you would possibly need. The breakfast was amazing, Greek yogurt or smoothie to start then a choice of fry up, pancakes, veggie option, vegan option, orange juice, hot drinks, cakes and even toast! Karen and her husband really do put their heart and soul into making this a lovely place to stay and it’s very evident. We would definitely return.
