We were recommended the restaurant and it did not disappoint! Amazed at the attentiveness and speedy service in this friendly restaurant. We had Korma and Bhuna which was delicious. The atmosphere was great and good for a couples or groups alike. Definitely be going back again - thank you!

We were out for Sunday lunch - most of us had the Sunday roast. There was a good choice of beef, lamb, pork and chicken. Again most of us chose the roast pork and it was a very good roast. The meat was tasty and tender, a wide variety of home cooked fresh veg served on the plate - cabbage,...

Randomly decided to have dinner here with friends on a Saturday night. None of us had visited before so had no idea what to expect. On arrival we were welcomed by a lovely lady and waited for friends. The pub is as old style pubs should be... quaint! The food was delicious and the menu choice huge. The prices really...

Food used to be better. Decor is as dated as the music. Can be a charming place just needs to be updated and a bit more detail to the food and atmosphere will bring this place back to being a great place

It was very well presented and piping hot.John even manage to rustle us up two fruit salads which wasn't listed on the menu.

We were looking for a typical b & b to stay in Lewes. Found The Chalk Pitt Inn on the internet and it looked lovely. On arriving, the pub was closed and along came the manager and pointed us in the direction of two Butlins chalet type rooms behind the pub. First impression was the horrible damp smell in the...

This Inn is located in a wonderful most scenic area and the building itself is nice looking from the outside. However it is incredibly dirty on the inside, very tired looking, very dark and just overall a disgusting place. Unfortunately we also stayed the night in one of the horrifically dirty rooms which apparently included breakfast but at breakfast time...

We rented out the beautiful land of Chalk Pitt Inn for our festival styled wedding reception in Sept 13. We can't begin to say how magical and perfect the space is nestled delightfully in Lewes, so much potential for creativity and good times. John the owner and his wife couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating of our needs giving...
