We enjoyed a very pleasant stay in Old Timbers B&B. We felt being welcomed by friends in their charming house full of travel memorablia. The comfort of the room , the bathroom, the charming garden and the very original and tasty breakfast, with several options, were a treat. First and foremost the personal attention of the hosts was exceptional. Highly...

I stayed at Helen's B&B for the second time to go to a nearby festival and I already know I will go again. The house is gorgeous; Helen herself is very welcoming, thoughtful and super helpful; the room and bathroom are very comfy; the breakfast is locally sourced and delicious; and the house dog is incredibly cute! I would highly...

We had a delightful stay in this beautiful country house. Helen and Peter gave us a very warm welcome with a roaring wood fire after a days hiking. The bedroom was very quaint and pretty and it was the best night sleep we had had in a long time! The breakfast in the morning was perfect with fresh orange juice...

We spent two nights in this delightful period house and garden and were well looked after by Helen and Peter, who were charming and informative about local places to visit and dine. The atmosphere was one of relaxation and enjoyment of the lovely period bedroom and private drawing room (with piano!). Apart from lack of TV (an advantage?), the facilities...

You live together with very sympathetic hosts, who provide a great breakfast for you. You can use the beautiful garden and enjoy the East Sussex landscape. They rent three rooms which share one bathroom. The rooms are old-fashioned but clean.

Thank you for this warm and positive review. Just a factual correction: we only have two rooms, not three for B&B. As general policy we only let one room at a time, unless two couples are travelling together, so the bathroom remains private and is not shared with strangers.

We stayed at Old Timbers in April 2015. Helen and Peter were warm and welcoming. The beds and rooms are comfortable, and the house has a solid restful feel about it. Everything was immaculate. Breakfast was well presented and delicious. Helen suggested a good pub for dinner. We would definitely stay at Old Timbers again in the future.
