I so wanted the food and service to match the ambience but it failed. Food bland, burnt flat bread, lacking flavour. Service was robotic and we were told main menu stopped at 3pm and we had 3 minutes to order at 2.50pm!!??!! No reason to return!

We visited for a drink, which eventually became dinner, stunning surroundings, staff attentive and reasonably priced! Large choice of drinks from the bar and restaurant. Back when we are in town again!

We had a superior room which was extremely comfortable with a large sleep inducing bed. Very clean and would certainly recommend a stay. Staff efficient and friendly. Only minor inconvenience is parking - unloading and booking in fine but then have to move the car to a large car park a couple of hundred yards away - a bargain at...

We had the best time here!! Stayed in a beautiful room with a giant copper bath and out very own mini court. The food was just amazing and the customer service was fabulous! It's so central and we managed to get parking for free or the front. Breakfast was well worth it, oh and so was he afternoon tea in...

A lovely comfortable room beautifully furnished, the hotel can creak a bit, though, so those on the stairs and walking in the room above can sometimes be heard. Right in the best area of Rye. No car park as Rye is an ancient town so tightly packed - but it's not a long walk to the public one which is...

5* hotel 👌🏼. Room 21 is lovely. No hotel parking but found overnight car park close by for £1.50. Restaurant food in the evening was great and breakfast even better. Very attentive staff. Well worth a visit.

Our room was great having door opening onto our own small outside area. It was a few steps down to the grille which was also well up to our expectations. We also enjoyed a pre dinner drink in the cosy bar. Rye has lots of character and history and is good for a short break. All the staff were very...

Good welcome from the staff, pleasant room albeit up a lot of stairs, no elevator. Good food in grill & excellent breakfast choice. Comfortable surroundings in the bar area. No on-site parking & a bit of a trek from the car park if its raining.

The staff at this lovely hotel were great and, without exception, very friendly. Despite being such an old building the facilities inside were very good - clean and comfortable. The breakfast was of high quality and generous. We also ate dinner in the hotel and had a lovely meal, although I don't go a bundle about being served food on...
