We stayed for 2 nights September 12th-14th, wish it had been longer
Amazing B&B
On arrival we were greeted by lovely lady (cannot remember her name)
Showed us to our Room which was on the 2nd floor (Room 10) had been recently refurbished
Overlooks the Road, very quiet at night..
Very comfortable huge bed, lots of wardrobe space & drawers
Complimentary bottle of water plus kettle etc
Bathroom very clean, hot water in shower
Breakfast outstanding, Gemma (owner) plus another lovely young lady rushing around, but nothing to much trouble
Amazing choice of cooked breakfast plus cereals, juice etc
Answered any questions & had great chat with them
Parking outside which is great, found a space without a problem
Only few minutes walk into Bourton
We had a beautiful dinner @ The Rose Restaurant (be sure to book a table in advance
Would definitely stay @ The Lansdowne next time we visit this beautiful part of the country

We stayed at the Lansdowne for two nights in half term. We had a disappointing start to our break as having booked the 4 Poster Room, we was taken to a twin room on the top floor without being consulted about the change of room. This room itself has a few issues not least the fact that the shower pressure is virtually non-existent of a morning when having a shower and the bath you shower in is very narrow. I would say that Gemma, the owner of the property did give us a discount for their error and also offered us the option of switching rooms, but this was after we had spent one night out of two in the room and there wasn’t any point in moving when we was going home the following day. The breakfast at the Lansdown is exceptional and the Chef was even happy with my request to have fried bread with my full English, which I was very grateful for, and the staff at breakfast were also excellent with one member of staff running to the shops to buy honey for my wife to have on her toast as they had run out. The Lansdowne is run to a very high standard, much like you would expect from a hotel, and the plans that Gemma has for it should only add to the offering. Whilst we were disappointed with the change of room, we wasn’t disappointed with our overall stay, apart from the weather which is even out of Gemma’s control. The Lansdowne is situated a couple of minutes’ walk into the Village which is perfect and the surrounding villages are in touching distance with a short car journey. We would not hesitate to visit again.

Very enjoyable 3 night stay in this 'bedrooms with breakfast' accommodation - beds comfy, good shower with plenty of hot water, spotlessly clean and delicious cooked breakfasts served with a smile. We had a front room so there was some traffic noise from the road which meant we had to keep the window closed - the room got quite warm as a result, although a standing fan was supplied. No other complaints, and would be happy to recommend.

Visited here last weekend and really cannot fault anything, the whole stay was perfect.
Upon arrival we were met by a lovey lady who welcomed us in and all other staff we came across (i.e at breakfast) were all equally as friendly and nice.
The location of the hotel was great, in a quiet peaceful area of the village but just a 2-3 minute walk away from the centre.
The rooms were fully equipped with tea, coffee, biscuits etc. as well as shampoo’s and conditioners in the bathroom when we arrived. A good size room, very comfy double bed and the bathroom was very spacious too. The rooms were also designed and decorated nicely.
I somehow managed to leave my coat in the hotel and upon arriving home and realising I contacted the hotel who told me it had been found and that they would post it back to me, and the next day it arrived at my house. I thought this was excellent service which I am very grateful for.
There really isn’t anything at all I can think of which could have been better, and I will most definitely be recommended this hotel to anyone I know who is thinking of visiting the area.
Thank you!!

Very nice find - usually these guest houses are hit and miss. The room was comfortable, the shower was powerful, amenities were good (kettle, toiletries) and location was great - 5 min to the main views in Bourton on the water, 12 min or so to get to the Warden trail. Breakfast was included and yummy - the cooked breakfast was varied and very nice. I would have preferred an option of lattes etc from a machine, but one can’t have everything. The staff are only around for check in until 6, but when I called they offered instructions on late check in.

Stayed at the Lansdowne for two nights in a twin room on the top floor. Excellent location within walking distance to the village and all amenities.
Breakfast very good and well presented and lots of choice.
Room lovely, tea and coffee supplied and topped up each day.
Only criticism was that the bath was very narrow and difficult to lie down but there was an overhead shower, the bath is just a personal thing as I like a good soak but couldn’t do it in this particular bath. The property is very well maintained and the decor is lovely. It is almost run like a hotel with plenty of staff during the breakfast rush and all were very professional. My husband and I felt very safe during our visit there is hand gel at the entrance and in the rooms. All in all an excellent place to stay and we would not hesitate to visit again.

We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at this wonderful guest house! It is a 2 minute walk from the centre of Bourton-on-the-water, with plenty of onsite parking (important, as parking really is at a premium in the village!) We had a very friendly greeting from Corrine, and the place is beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless. Comfortable bed and lovely modern bathroom with great shower. Room was quite hot, but it soon cooled down with the windows open and a fan was provided. For breakfast the next day you can pretty much have whatever you like, with the option of a cold buffet as well containing pastries, cereals, yoghurt and fruit. A definite gem in Bourton, and if we visit the area again, we would definitely return.

We had a lovely stay as part of my wife's birthday surprise. Prior to our visit staff had been very helpful in recommending where to eat in the evening.
We received a warm welcome on arrival, the room was clean and warm. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom & shower all worked as expected, once they fixed a minor issue with the boiler, which was all handled professionally and courteously.
The breakfasts were great and again staff were always friendly and courteous.
The best recommendation I can give is that we are planning to go back again next year.

We stayed for one night and wished it could have been longer. We were warmly greeted by Anna. Having already spoken to her on the phone, she was just as welcoming in person. Nothing was too much trouble and we immediately felt 'at home' Our room was spotless! It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable.
Next morning we were given a wonderful choice at breakfast. We had one 'full English' and one salmon and scrambled eggs. Both were prepared to a very high standard and were served piping hot. This is a truly lovely place to stay and Anna and the entire staff were genuinely wonderful. Thank you so much! Margaret & Steve
