Came up to visit a friend and stayed in the central Premier Inn. I've stayed there a couple times and as always it was great. Staff were friendly and I was able to check in early, which they sorted quickly. I got back just past nine in the evening and they were able to do some dinner for me( thank you for kitchen still being open), food was really good! The room was clean and tidy and comfortable and had an excellent night's sleep.

This isn't the first time we've stopped in a Premier Inn and it won't be the last . The reason for this review is to let folk know about our great experience . We checked in early which was nice as it meant we could start our short break straight away, the room was clean and nicely decorated . A nice touch was being able to call the reception and request 2 more pillows which arrived promptly . Later on the shower unfortunately failed and a quick call to reception swiftly sorted a new room for us and within 5 minutes we had relocated next door and the lady apologised asking us if we would like a free breakfast the next day . We don't usually have breakfast as we believed quite wrongly that the quality is poor . We awoke from a goodnights sleep helped by the quiet aircon which worked lovely . We walked into the nicely decorated restaurant to be shown to our table . We ordered a full English breakfast (which you can order how many individual items you want all for the same cost). The staff all very pleasant and attentive . I can now say the food was cooked fresh and presentation excellent . All washed down with orange juice and nice coffee . We can honestly say the stay was so positive and changed our view that we won't mind spending that little extra to stay at a premier Inn . We're converted . Thanks .

Although the hotel is a basic Premier Inn it is made so much better by being in the centre of town close to numerous restaurants and places to visit. Parking is just across the road and free overnight so cheaper than the NCP but if you stay later than 8 am you need to top up by phone or by app.
What made it extra special was the really helpful lady on reception who was really friendly and made sure we had a quiet room. Will definitely stay there again when next in Cheltenham

Accessible rooms were good but my mattress was a little lumpy which is unusual for a Premier Inn as usually good firm mattresses. Very good wet room with a good sturdy shower chair attached to the wall. No storage hardly, ok for a couple of nights but we managed by stacking everything up. They did not clean the room as they said it was due to COVID which I understand but we were there 5 nights so think they should have cleaned the room a couple of times. It did annoy me a little as it was not cheap about £300 with breakfast but the other month went to a B&B and was there 2 nights and they cleaned the room in between the nights.
The one good thing it was in a very good location for places to eat and shop although no parking. We had to park in the NCP car park but luckily we downloaded the app and got 2 4 hours for £6 instead of about £18, the hotel did offer 25% off but worked out better with the app.
The breakfast was ok but I thought it is slowly increasing in price of £6.99 for continental which was only cereal and croissants and au pain chocolate. Full breakfast was £8.99 which we had as was not paying £6.99 for a croissant. Also the restaurant and bar were not open at night so could not have a drink when we got back.
We had a nice time location was good but not the best 5 nights sleep because of mattress.

We stayed 2 nights over the August bank holiday weekend. NCP was only a 5 min walk and you get a 25% discount for parking there from the hotel (be sure to ask at reception).
Room was clean and comfortable but with only 1 of each towel provided, but was rectified after asking reception for more (same with teas and coffees) - this seems to be a trend of this and other hotels since opening after covid, to only provide enough towels, teas and coffees for 1 person??? Plenty of room for hanging clothes and storing suitcases under the bed.
Bed was comfortable, but sleep difficult due to the noise outside because of its location. Also, when someone is walking around the room above you, it sounds like a herd of elephants running! So ask for a room on the top floor.
The curtains are blackout but they're too short so the light shines under them.
All that said, you are on the doorsteps of many shops and restaurants and it's easy to walk around.
Would stay again and recommend, for the right price....provided they work on the sound insulation.

Stayed Sat 26th June, didn’t sleep until 4am. Despite (or because?) the building is fairly modern, the soundproofing is none existent. Stairs and floors squeak something rotten and it sounded like we had a herd of elephants above us. Despite windows being sealed, double glazing isn’t of good enough quality to block out Cheltenham’s seagulls and drunks. Staff acknowledged problem with the building when reporting our experience. Do yourself a favour and stay at the Holiday Inn, 2 mins walk on the other (quieter) side of The Brewery, next to the NCP car park

Hello Andrew, Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear you were disturbed by noise from other guests in the room above, along with the noise from outside of the hotel and can completely understand your frustration. This certainly isn't up to our usual standards and not the service we aim to deliver to our guests. Please be assured we'll make sure your comments are shared with the hotel team so we can ensure necessary re-training is implemented to prevent this happening going forward. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention and we do hope we can welcome you back in the future for a much better stay. Kind Regards, Tayler

Fantastic value for money, very central location. However we asked for additional pillows on the first evening and they weren’t in the room when we got back later that day. We had an adapted room with a shower. The room was more than adequate to accommodate the wheelchair and the shower chair was at the right height to make transferring easy. We had asked for the bed to be raised before we checked in. Unfortunately this was done by a single member of staff which meant one corner of the bed was lower than the other and we had to use rolled up towels to replace the additional pillows that didn’t arrive until asked for a second time. This was all sorted on the second day. Despite leaving the hotel at 10:30 on Sunday morning the room wasn’t cleaned.

Perhaps it was because it was winter or because it was Cheltenham, but two rooms for two nights at £258 isn't bad. Though I still haven't got used to paying £10 each for breakfast. My children have just passed the free childrens breakfast age so where it was £10 for three it is now £30 for three.
No hotel parking increased the price of the stay. The council car park 100 metres down was convenient and had space but added an extra £10 for six hours plus parking. Free from 8pm - 8am (10am Sunday). For shorter parking times it was quite pricey per hour.
The hotel was very central. I think if I had chosen the other Cheltenham Premier Inn my companions would not have been so happy as it was not near the centre.

Choose this hotel in centre of town with ncp car park very and with a discount voucher available too :-) hotel situated on various floors about 1st so quiet, our room was plenty large enough, spotlessly clean, all staff polite and professional, nothing was too much trouble and we thought the unlimited breakfast was not only good quality but all items were unlimited and fantastic value. There’s nothing not to like about this premier inn, would most definitely recommend. 10/10

Room as expected, clean, air con and had a lovely nights sleep!
However, the bathroom had a towel rack that had a note saying if you reuse your towel keep it in the rack, if you want new leave in the bath.
I’m hoping that the actual rack and the wall they lean against is cleaned thoroughly between stays otherwise my lovely clean towels are being placed on a rack people have been placing their used dirty towels on.
Secondly, the breakfast could be handled much better. Lipstick on the glass, the fork wrapped wasn’t clean.
The croissants, bread etc all left out - no covers.
They were wiping down utensils but regarding the hot food it just made more sense the chef placing it on the plate rather than everyone touching the same food.
Also. Wearing a mask unless exempt should be expected when fetching food as it was unappealing to see people standing breathing all over the food.
I couldn’t eat much if any of the breakfast it just put me off.
In addition, there was no social distancing being upheld, people were shoulder to shoulder with my while making my toast and trying to make their hot food the same time as if that made my toast cook quicker!
Lovely sleep and lovely room.
