No.38 The Park is a sumptuous Georgian townhouse a 10 minute walk from Cheltenham town centre and close to the racecourse. It uniquely combines the luxury of a hotel with the independence of a bed and breakfast creating a warm and homely feel. Each of the 13 bespoke bedrooms are individually designed by interior designer Georgie Pearman. Sourcing fabrics and furniture from British producers, you can be sure that each and every detail is a true one-off. Delve into the super king-size beds, with Egyptian Cotton linens by Three Thieving Magpies and mohair throws, perfect for those long lie-ins. All toiletries are chosen by Bramley, made in England using natural botanicals and essential oils. Each room blends classic comforts with modern essentials, with iPod docks, Nespresso machines and HD TV with Sky as standard, whilst the mini-bar is stocked with treats from local farmers and producers.

Stayed one night only but a week wouldn’t be too long. Very comfortable and well equipped rooms with walk in en-suite rain shower. Breakfast was excellent and the staff are friendly and professional. We’ll definitely be returning.

Great little boutique hotel in an old Georgian mansion. The breakfast is very much worth getting in our hotel fee, as it’s fabulous. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and the feel of the place is homey and just what you want after a long day out.

Yes, it is a bit quirky; yes, there is no reception desk so you wander around until someone finds you; yes, the staff tries hard; yes, we had two shabby chic cupboards, and yes it is pricey for Cheltenham but worth it in our opinion. The restaurant, Prithvi, is outstanding and

This is going to be a positive review given that I have stayed here a lot, I basically live here during the week. Classic boutique hotel that lives up to the hype. All rooms are modern, and tastefully decorated, obviously my taste may not be yours! Baths are a feature in most

Response from DouglasC3053, Manager at No 38 The Park

Good afternoon Marian and David Many thanks for taking the time to leave us some feedback. If you could get back in touch and let us know which room you found the wobbly cupboard we will get that rectified! We find it a bit surprising that you found the restaurant so expensive! At £55 for a full tasting menu at the level the restaurant operates, we have found that people have been surprised by the value for money they are getting. If it is not to taste we do have sister properties within a short walk which we recommend at different price points so do feel free to speak with the reception staff to get recommendations should you manage to come back to us. Our staff are usually fantastic and not too intrusive as they offer a relaxed service. If you are also able to let us know how they were trying a little too hard that would be great so that we can use it to inform our training moving forward. I very much look forward to your correspondance (assistant.manager@no38thepark.com). Kind regards Rob House Manager
