Great location , nice walking distance to town. Lovely building , well maintained and spotlessly clean. We liked the owners who were proud of their town. It's not cheap but nor is Cheltenham! Our room and bed were small and there's no bar but drinks are available in the conservatory. For £110 a night in many towns and cities you'd...

Stopped here for the weekend as we wanted a central location for a spot of Xmas shopping. We were greeted with a very warm welcome to the charming building. Out top floor room was a little on the small side but this didn't really matter. There was a very nice lounge and conservatory if we wanted more space. An honesty...

Beautiful old building, super lounge, wonderful conservatory and as friendly, professional, family type welcome as you could wish for. Great value for money and the best hotel breakfast I have ever had (more than 500 in my career). Yes it is not cheap and the top floor is quite a climb but it is well worth it, 5 minutes from...

This is a friendly hostelry offering decent accommodation but quite pricey which may be due to its location one mile from the centre of Cheltenham in the classy suburb of Montpelliers. Room was quite small but clean and very comfortable. The house has a nice lounge where guests can relax and enjoy a glass of whatever from the honesty bar....

Although the location is ideal for central Cheltenham, The Lypiatt's top floor bedrooms are extremely small and if you are tall you will bang your head on the sloping ceilings! Be sure to check you have enough towels and cups and saucers before your morning shower and early morning coffee and if you have a healthy appetite you will be...

This hotel is a period house with an appearance to match. The hallway reception is beautifully decorated although the actual reception appears to a small cupboard. Often no receptionist is on duty but a phone number is provided in case of problems. The breakfast was outstanding and freshly cooked in a pleasant basement room. The bedrooms were on the whole...

Stayed for one night during the week of the literature festival. Welcomed on arrival by Frank who was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of off street car parking. Very near the wonderful amenities of Montpellier. The ground floor room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Good selection at breakfast including fresh fruit and yoghurt. Full English cooked to order. Highly...

My friend and I had two of the top rooms here during our recent very pleasant stay. The hosts were welcoming, helpful and friendly, offering advice in eating out and directions. My room was a small double that I had to myself. Spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast had super choice of fruit, cereals etc before a freshly cooked English....

This is a quality boutique hotel ,white linen , a classy lounge and very easy to reach the city centre with good quality restaurants nearby. We booked this hotel as we had a long drive home from Cornwall, the hosts were very pleasant and could not have done any more for us. Breakfast ( which for me is a measure of...
