Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This was our 3rd visit to this fantastic B&B. We were here for the Jazz Festival. Lyndsay and Mark are always warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. The room was very cosy and the bathroom kitted out with shampoo and shower gel which smelled wonderful. There were bath robes, slippers and the room has extra heating and fans when needed. They cater for a wide range of tastes when it came to breakfast. Muesli, cereals, porridge, fruit, yoghurts and of course the full English Breakfast which is simply delicious! We can’t recommend this wonderful B&B highly enough! Thank you so much Lyndsay and Mark!

We can highly recommend Crossways - the location is ideal for the shopping and entertainments in the centre of town and the standard of accommodation is excellent.

This is truly a 'guest house' because Mark and Lyndsey treated us as though we were their friends - not paying guests. We stayed for two night with another couple who were equally impressed. We were welcomed by Mark who arranged car parking for us and even offered to help with our luggage. Our rooms were spotlessly clean, nicely decorated with comfortable furnishings.

We were provided with every amenity we could think of in our room including a comprehensive tea tray with luxury biscuits and hot chocolate drinks; dressing gowns and slippers and a heater and even a hot water bottle! We were asked to choose our breakfast from a long list of healthy options and, of course a full English, all of which was well presented and delicious.

We will be back!

Mark and Lindsay are excellent hosts. Made us feel very welcome with friendly and professional welcome. Excellent level walk into town in no time at all. Added bonus of free parking on the neighbouring premises. We stayed in room 3 on the first floor. Warm and cosy with extra blankets available, extra heater and dehumidifier if needed. Robes and slippers supplied. Excellent complementary teas and coffee tray with many extras. The best selection of complimentary toiletries in the room and bathroom to include bamboo toothbrushes and toothpaste. Well done. Fresh milk and bottled water available from dining room downstairs throughout stay. Breakfast is pre order on a tick box form; not everyone’s choice but we were happy to do this. Full English ordered the first day with fresh fruit juice, coffee, toast and marmalade and cereal. Second day skipped full English for porridge. All food freshly prepared, good quality and quantity. You will not go hungry. Poached eggs cooked just right. Porridge excellent. Highly recommend this guest house for all that you would want for a stay away from home.

My wife and I are just back from a weekend in Cheltenham where we went to see a band (Northern Live!) at the Town Hall, less than 5 minutes walk from the Cross Ways B&B.
We stayed in room 3 on the back of the property. Mark & Lyndsey are the hosts and as others have said, they have thought of everything you may need! I have NEVER stayed in a hotel or B&B where this level of detail has been put in by the hosts to ensure the comfort of their guests!
It is no wonder that the majority of their custom is repeat business! If you stay here once I doubt you would ever go anywhere else when in Cheltenham. The rooms are very, very comfortable. Parking available on the street outside. The town centre (High Street) starts less than a 5 minute walk away and extends away from that point. An abundance of pubs, restaurants and shops in the area.
My only criticism was the relative poor water pressure in the shower in our room. However, it wasn't so poor that it made showering difficult, it was just less than is ideal.
Breakfast was delicious and tailored to your exact needs. Great tea (Yorkshire!) in your own room and fresh milk and little jugs kept in the fridge downstairs in the dining room to ensure your tea is up to our exacting British standards!
Thank you Mark & Lyndsey - you made our stay very comfortable indeed and we won't consider anywhere else the next time we are in Cheltenham!

Thanks for this - we're glad you both enjoyed your stay. The water pressure is an issue with the building and we are limited to what we can do because of its listed status. However, we are actively looking at some new options for this year.

Our stay at Crossway’s couldn’t have been better.

We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived with a dedicated parking space saved for us in the locked car park next to the guest house.

The room was a great size and bed was very comfortable with everything you need in there from toiletries, fabulous tea tray, hairdryer, a fan and an air con unit to say but a few.

The gluten free menu for breakfast was also amazing and offered a very wide selection of food.

I would recommend to go and stay there to everyone and would definitely stay there again when we visit Cheltenham.

Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Thanks to Mark and Lyndsey, our first night in England was cozy and comfortable. Our hosts welcomed us at the door after our long flight and car ride out to Cheltenham, and our rooms were very well-equipped for anything we might need. The location of Crossways was perfect for us, as we could walk to plenty of restaurants and shops. Breakfast the next morning in the sunny dining area was absolutely delicious! Mark and Lyndsey were most kind and helpful, making the opening chapter of our trip to England and Wales wonderful.

4 of us (2 couples) stayed for 2 nights at Crossways whilst visiting Cheltenham for the weekend and all 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mark and Lyndsay are both great hosts, very friendly and helpful with good Covid measures in place. The rooms are lovely and very spacious with coffee and tea making facilities included in the room. There is a good choice for breakfast and Mark cooks a great full English which includes probably the best sausages I have had in a guest house.
The guest house is in an excellent location being only a few minutes walk from the main centre. There are 2 pubs and a Premier mini market directly across the road and Wetherspoons is less than 2 minutes walk away.
Free parking is currently available in a secure gated office car park next door to the guest house but if this should change I believe a parking permit is given to allow you to park on the road for free.
We've already booked our stay for next year.
Thanks very much Mark and Lyndsay.

I stayed at crossways in room 1 on the ground floor, on a shopping trip with my mum.
We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived.
They have thought of everything you would ever need in the rooms, and the beds and pillows were so comfortable.
Parking was very easy. Spaces on the road, right outside, and a free permit was immediately organised by the lovely owners.
Location is perfect. Walking distance to high street or Montpellier.
Breakfast was wonderful. Great quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. We were even offered freshly blended smoothies of our choice.
I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Cheltenham.

4 of us (2 couples) stayed at the Crossways Guesthouse for a second year running when we came to Cheltenham for the weekend to incorporate a visit to the races on the Saturday. Mark and Lyndsay are great hosts. both very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are very spacious and have everything you could wish for such as dressing gowns, toiletries, coffee/tea making facilities (with ample coffee/tea/milk/sugar etc provided). The beds are Kingsize and very, very comfortable (and that's the opinion of all 4 of us, not just me).
Breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choice (cereal, fruit, yoghurts, juices, full English, toast, jams/marmalades, etc). Complimentary umbrellas are provided, if required, and there is plenty of information to hand on the local area and Mark and Lyndsay will gladly provided any information required.
Free parking is available on the road outside the guest house. mark logs your registration onto a website, so you don't even need to display a permit.
The guesthouse is in a great location. Just a few minutes stroll into the centre and directly across the road there is a premier convenience store and 2 pubs and Wetherspoon, and several other bars are only a matter of minutes away.
All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already booked in again for next year.
Thank you very much for your hospitality.

I cannot fault this Guest House. The price was reasonable. The owners offered a personal, caring service at both the booking stage and during the stay . They provided everything needful including a lovely big bath towel and bath robe and slippers. There was an excellent breakfast menu. I would recommend this establishment unreservedly.
