Our expectations of this lovely guest-house were well-exceeded, and our stay – though we were in Cheltenham for a sad occasion – was totally enjoyable. Check-in, though we were delayed by heavy motorway traffic, was smooth and efficient with our breakfast requirements quickly established from the wide range of options available. This property scores over town centre hotels as a substantial freshly-cooked breakfast using quality ingredients is included in the price unlike the big movers in the industry who charge significant amounts for what can be quite charmless offerings. Another benefit was the off-road parking, which some hotels also charge for. The beautiful late Victorian house, a villa I think it could be said, is set back amongst trees in lovely gardens and although the road can be quite busy we were not troubled by any traffic noise – the heavy curtains no doubt helped. All the furnishings were top quality though admittedly perhaps not to everyone’s taste but this was part of the charm of the property. The dining-room ceiling was particularly impressive. The room was very well furnished with a range of drinks including organic coffee and the bathroom toiletries were top-quality, too. The single beds were extremely comfortable and a generous size. All the other bedrooms in the property are doubles. The ensuite shower was responsive and powerful. Overall, there was a blend of elegance, charm and quirkiness which – if he doesn’t mind my saying - our host Peter also embodied. His sense of dry humour matched my own, and he was extremely amiable and knowledgeable. I and my son engaged in absorbing wide-ranging conversations with him, and later after breakfast his wife Claire too. I have absolutely no hesitation to recommending this lovely place to the discerning traveller, and would choose it above all others in Cheltenham.

This was a perfect stay , great accommodation, very clean , lovely nights sleep and brilliant host . Breakfast was good , the home made marmalade was excellent . We walked to the racecourse , this took around thirty five minutes, and was given great instructions on how to get there . We would highly recommend booking here

A quick base drop stay, only here for one night using the hotel briefly. A quirky Victoria accommodation a little wall out of town - a good mile plus a bit bit doable on foot. Nice breakfast freshly prepared with juice of full English alongside cereal and juice Friendly and intriguing host with as much history as the house, dig deep, be curious and engaging - not your normal B&B owner, was a pleasure to meet Peter, thank you. Keep working. Keep travelling. Keep being open.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. My room was beautiful and very spacious - extremely good value for money. Tasty breakfast, and a quiet location. Our host was a pleasure to chat to, and helped us in the run up to our stay by being flexible when rail strikes changed our plans. Thanks for everything!

We stayed at Badger Towers for three nights. The bed was very comfortable and the size of the room was OK for two people. Breakfast was good and the hospitality from the owners added to the our enjoyment. We would be pleased to stay there again.

Booked Badger Towers as we were attending Cheltenham Jazz Festival. Very warm welcome on arrival. Rooms are gorgeous, spacious and filled with antiques. Loved the badger touches in the room. Tea and coffee facilities were comprehensive, mix of teas and yummy biscuits. Bathroom had everything you would need if you had forgotten to bring it!! We were in room 4 and the bed was also very comfortable. Breakfast is served a bit early for us but it was delicious. Full English freshly cooked with high quality ingredients. Our host was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be going back. A hidden gem. Thank you

I was a little confused at check in, as he wanted to be paid up front. He told me it was £110 which I said was cheaper than he had quoted on the phone of £115, he made a joke of discounting it because of the rain. I had forgotten what room type I had booked and when shown to the room I realised afterwards when looking at the paperwork that I had booked a super king and this was a double. None the less I couldn't be bothered to moan, I must assume somebody else wanted longer than 1 night and he had changed our bookings around. Our room was a good size and so was the bathroom, with a free standing bath as well as large shower. It was all spotlessly clean. The furnishings are old school, with flowery curtains etc but I liked it anyway. The breakfast had a good choice of starters, and we both had a full English which was good. No complaints and I would recommend.

My first review of last year wasn't saved but my friend in Cheltenham reminded me of how pleased I was to stay there and, indeed, he to visit during the literature festival.Everything in the room was top quality and an excellent breakfast served by the genial hosts who speak Danish & French. Can I suggest anything? As a technophobr I could have done with a demonstration of how the shower worked and would have chosen an extra egg or rasher rather than sausages but the fruit compote made up for this,All in all very, good value. When my friend called on walking from the centre of town we were served a complimentary pot of good coffee--a nice touch much appreciated!

We recently visited Cheltenham for a birthday party just outside town. We arrived at Badger towers mid afternoon on a Saturday and were warmly greeted by the owner. We were given a choice of rooms on arrival and chose to stay in Room 1. It was spotless with a very comfort bed and well appointed en suite. They provided everything you would expect of a high grade hotel. Not just soap, shampoo etc but also a shaving kit and toothbrush and paste which was a nice touch. The tea tray was well stocked and the room had some lovely quirky/homely touches. We were given a key to both the room and the front door. No problems coming in at around 11pm and a great quite nights sleep. On top of all of this we were treated to a very special breakfast. Full English with lots of toast and homemade marmalade. There were cereals, fresh fruit and a selection of yoghurts too. The service was perfect. Individual French press coffee served by the very charming owner who gave us lots of advice about our onward journey. We enjoyed it so much that we hope to stay again sometime!
