Had a lovely stay. Room was spacious and clean. Huge bathroom with excellent shower. Comfortable and warm room with great TV signal. Very comfortable bed. The bar itself has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and the staff are doing all they can to ensure all Covid-19 rules are followed making the environment feel very safe and welcoming. Great menu options and lots of lovely individual decorative touches all around this stunning Grade II listed property. Thanks for a great stay Mandy. See you again soon.

Booked a table here on a Sat evening - only to find that there was no Marsdens Pedigree and to top that off no decent red wine. Why is it that some pubs feel it’s ok just to stock cheap acidic red wine such as Shiraz or Merlot? and then sell it at a ridiculous price? Some people want decent wine like Malbec or Rioja? Oh well. To be fair the food was OK and the service excellent. I would however question the staff not wearing any protective gear when serving customers - apart from being asked to track and trace and wash our hands - not a great deal of safety happening here. Oh and to have a notice on the INSIDE of the gents toilet door which says only 2 persons allowed is very strange? I wouldn’t return here only because I could get the food on offer anywhere and I would find a pub that has real ale of its main brewery in stock.

Great Pub, clean, friendly staff and dogs welcome. Standard beers on offer would liked to have seen some more ales and IPAs however they seem hard to find anywhere in Cirencester. Adapted to COVID 19 measures very well though and worth a visit.

Arrived just before 3pm, so the pub was not busy. Ordered meals (fish and chips, nothing fancy). 45 minutes later our table still had not been wiped down and the dirty tissues from the last guests remained. Meals, on the other hand, nowhere in sight (despite empty tables around the pub and few people the bar). When food arrived it was very average. Try somewhere else and save an hour of your day.

We stay at the caravan and motorhome site in Cirencester and always use this pub. All the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent value for money. We are always meet with a cheery smile and Mandy the manager alway makes time for a chat wish we lived closer.
