Nestled close to Cirencester centre, the Ingleside Hotel garners high praise for its tranquil yet convenient location. The establishment's atmosphere is frequently described as stylish and brimming with charm, although opinions on the decor vary. While the value proposition receives mixed reviews, particularly regarding breakfast and parking costs, the hotel's service stands out, with staff earning accolades for their attentiveness and personal touch. We recently stayed at the Ingleside hotel for 2 nights. The hotel has recently been tastefully refurbished to a high standard. Our deluxe room was very comfortable and featured Molton Brown products. A nice touch was the endless supply of still or sparkling complimentary filtered water, this extends to the bar and restaurant. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming. I did notice that the corridors of the hotel needed vacuuming more regularly, but this is a minor gripe and in no way affected our stay. The hotel is connected to the Barn Theatre and the Teatro restaurant, so no need to stray too far for entertainment, although it is a short walk to the centre of Cirencester. There is no car parking available but the public car park opposite the hotel charges £2.50 per day and you can pay for several days stay at once. We were so pleased we chose this hotel, I doubt we could have done better.

The Teatro restaurant was superb. From personal experience we never expect a hotel restaurant to be anything other then mediocre, however the Teatro was so good we abandoned plans to eat in town the second night and booked it again.

We have just had the pleasure of a nights stay at Ingleside. This newly refurbished hotel has been styled in such a way that it constantly draws your attention to another quirky, but perfectly suited piece of decor. We stayed in the Wright room which continues the theme of the hotel with its unique vibrant tilling in the shower room and a large free standing bath in the bedroom. The room is very light and spacious, with a huge, very comfortable superking sized bed. The rooms facilities were ideal with an added bonus of being able to stream i player from our phones onto the tv, so we could watch our favourite series in bed.
Our hostess was an absolute gem. An attentive but not obtrusive Irish lady, Eithne. She made sure we were well catered for and we enjoyed sharing stories with her whilst we relaxed in the decadent lounge area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt relaxed and refreshed, helped by the Molton Brown wash products. Another nice touch.
We will be highly recommending Ingleside and look forward to a return visit.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this beautiful hotel. As soon as we arrived we received a warm welcome from Eithne & Lucy. We were shown to our room and as soon as we walked in it was warm, cosy, spotlessly clean and inviting. The rooms are named after staff members, ours was Smith! There was a bottle of Prosecco in an ice bucket and gorgeous chocolates in the room to celebrate my birthday. There has been no expense spared in providing good quality fixtures and fittings. It had a Dyson air cooler, Nespresso machine, providing coffee/tea, fridge with fresh milk, filtered bottled water and a Roberts DAB radio alarm clock. The Hypnos bed, feather duvet and pillows and crisp white linen.. pure luxury. The bathroom had Molton Brown toiletries, which was a nice touch too.
Breakfast in the fab flamingo decorated restaurant was delicious and cooked fresh. We must say a lovely choice of menu to choose from. So nice not to have a buffet theme going on like most places.
The lounge area is so quirky and beautifully furnished. The hotel toilets were fab.... loved the wallpaper. Eithne kindly sent us the link to purchase the wallpaper. As soon as my sister saw the photo she had to buy some.
The hotel also has a Theatre next door which we noticed was very popular. The town centre is a 5 minute walk from the hotel which has a great choice of restaurants/shops.
We would like to say a very special thank you to Eithne, Lucy, Laurel, Nadia, Sol and Bogdan for making our stay and my birthday so very special . The staff are friendly, helpful, nice and very polite, nothing was too much trouble for them. Apologies if we have forgotten anyone but the whole team are a real credit to this hotel. The management/owners are very lucky to have such a great bunch of people working for them.
This is the best hotel in England we have ever stayed in. We will absolutely not hesitate in coming back.
Thank you so much. Maria & Steve

We booked two nights for a double celebration at this lovely hotel after enquiring by phone - Eithne picked up and I couldn’t resist! She offered to make us dinner bookings as the attached restaurant wasn't opening on Mondays. By the time we arrived to a special welcome we had a choice of two options. This is the kind of top level service that we were given by all the staff and made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The second night we ate al fresco at the restaurant and it was fantastic. Breakfast was also delicious. I’m coeliac (gluten-free) and the service gave me a confidence I don’t usually have eating out. The interior design is stunning and the location is practical - walking distance to options in Cirencester and easy for day trips out in the Cotswolds. Overall a great little hotel with a service that would usually command a rate several times higher. Highly recommend!

We often stay in & around Cirencester but this was the first time here, we had seen it & thought looked nice. Ideally situated, easy walk into the town but away from the road, by the river. We were amazed how lovely the room was & the quality of the furnishings etc & particularly the shower which was wonderful!!
Didn’t have dinner as had already booked at our Italian down the road, but there were lots of people dining when we went to have a drink so the restaurant is obviously popular.
We were looking forward to a nice breakfast so it was disappointing to discover only a cooked breakfast was offered. It was a very nice cooked breakfast especially having vegan options, but i prefer a light breakfast yogurt/cereal/fruit none oif which were available.
Would certainly love to go back as the room was so brilliant, so clean & had a lovely view - the pink & green colour scheme took a bit of getting used to but full marks to them for doing something different not the usual magnolia
Hopefully they will start to offer a lighter breakfast as at least an alternative even if not part of the b&b rate.

We stayed for one night as a family wedding was being held in the hotel. The only room available when we booked was the Smith Room which is a King room (the cheapest although there is nothing cheap about this room). Everything was immaculately clean with nespresso machine, DAB radio, Dyson Fan, hairdryer, complimentary chocolates and milk in fridge. The whole hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was included in our price and the Full English was tasty and of good quality. I look forward to returning in the future.

Fantastic hotel. Decoration was quirky, stylishly done and really interesting. All rooms are different including the restaurant bar and lounge. The staff are amazing, everyone was friendly, helpful and generally happy to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Reception staff 10/10 waitress for breakfast 10/10 maintenance 10/10 housekeeping 10/10. I dropped an earring down the sink and the maintenance guy took the sink apart to retrieve it for me. They supplied everything we needed for a plant based breakfast and soya milk in our room. The bedroom was clean, spacious, comfortable with a lovely radio, fan and TV. Overall we could not fault this hotel. Definitely worth a visit. We will return.

Ingleside was a perfect location for my husband's 50th birthday celebrations. We hired the drawing room for a three course meal and since many of us were travelling we were able to book a number of the lovely bedrooms. Amber was excellent - she ensured every small detail was taken care of from table cloths to pre dinner drinks. The food was high quality and good value and the staff were all friendly and attentive. We were also able to use a downstairs reception room to meet informally before dinner and then after for a few additional drinks! The only area for improvement was breakfast the next day. The menu is itemised with the B&B rate allowing guests to have only certain items. Ordinarily I would expect fruit, orange juice and toast to be available on an unlimited basis so it felt a little awkward to have to choose between toast, a pastry and fresh fruit. I would highly recommend having a flat rate for breakfast (even if it's a little more) and then allowing guests to help themselves to anything other than cooked food. Thanks to the team for a lovely stay and we hope to come back soon.

We looked for somewhere special to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary so booked 2 nights. The room was a lot smaller than expected but nicely decorated. Unfortunately the coffee machine was not working correctly and there was no kettle . The receptionist said someone would fix it next morning and kindly gave us a coffee in the lounge.
There was no privacy at all concerning the glass door into the small ensuite. There was over an inch gap where the door should close and very see through!
On our return from a meal out, we were told the coffee machine had been fixed. However, next day, still the same problem. Another Receptionist kindly came up to the room to
try it and changed the machine so we could finally have a drink.
We booked bed and breakfast. However it only covers the cooked breakfast, which was hot and delicious. Any extra toast, drinks pastries, yogurts are extra which was a first for us . The last thing you want is to start adding up all the prices on a breakfast menu keeping it under the amount you have prepaid at time of booking.
The bed was very comfortable and the hotel is a 5 minute walk into Cirencester.

From the minute we walked we felt at home, very inviting, lovely lady behind the desk showed myself and fiance to our bedroom which was room smith we was wowed from the minute we walked into the house and our room was just as beautiful, Nespresso coffee machine, comfortable bed, smart TV.. and just furnished absolutely beautiful as was the rest of the house. We had dinner in the restaurant and was very impressed with how good the food and service was. Had a very good selection of food choice and non alcoholic beverages. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. We also had breakfast which was equally as beautiful. I cannot fault this hotel in anyway and the stay was a pleasure and real treat. If I lived closed I’d stay here all the time, but If I ever return to the area this will be my first choice of accommodation.

The only small minor things I could say for feedback would be, the pillows are lovely if you like that style of pillow, I however like a firm pillow and these pillows were duck feather meaning they are very soft, I woke up a few times due to this and the next day my neck was stiff, so a choice of pillowed would be a great choice.

Also in the bedroom, the telephone stays lit up all night, which I managed to cover with a cushion from bed, but then there was a green small light in the ceiling which made the room light up a lot, I have to sleep in total blackness or I cannot sleep.. however there was an eye mask provided which I didn’t see I took the next morning.

Lastly with all the climate change and plastic issue the world faces, I found the welcome gift which was 2 lovely little sweet items a lovely welcome gift, however they come in a small plastic bag, there are 11 rooms in total if every guests ever day was to receive one of these that makes it 308 small plastic bags a month. Imagine that over a year.. it’s a big price for the earth to pay for a small kind gesture, I feel brown recyclable paper would be much more green friendly.

But don’t let any of my thoughts towards feedback put you off.. the hotel is beautiful and I highly recommend
