We stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend and were pleasantly surprised. The room we had was lovely and clean, fresh big fluffy white towels and nice bedding. We had a twin room with two 3ft beds pushed together which was really nice....home from home lots of space :) Nice bathroom and toiletries. Breakfast was self service but fresh and nice with good coffee. Very reasonably priced and will stay here again when we are in the area.

POSITIVE
The bedroom was very nicely decorated, the bathroom was bright and a good size with a good shower pressure, plenty of toiletries to use and nice fluffy towels. The staff were very friendly and the place was very secure. Good free parking on site.

NEGATIVE
The cooked part of the breakfast was not that nice. Hash browns were dry, bread for making toast was frozen still. Baked beans were not hot. The window in the bedroom would not stay open (room 104) and thanks to the hot nights, this was a big issue, so maybe the window should be fixed or a fan put in the room. Such a shame when a room for two people only has one chair - so uncomfortable having to sit on the bed.

Whilst the hotel had clearly been refurbished recently, the service was distinctly lacking. On arrival we were forced to wait 30 minutes for the Receptionist to be called from another building to check in; One of my friends Shower did not work and with no one on site on phoning the hotel phone number this routed to the on site security who were less than helpful; Furthermore none of our rooms were cleaned after the first day; As for the breakfast this was of very poor quality and large parts were cold. I would not recommend this place.

There through work. Well priced very clean rooms and very recently refurbished. Good buffet breakfast, helpful staff. Good value for money. Be aware no lifts, stairs only. Only 2 stories high but could be a prob with limited mobility.

I praised here last year so wanted to ensure it still lived up to its high rating. It does! The rooms are comfortable and equipped with everything needed for a short stay when you are not spending time inside. The beds are comfortable with crisp white linen, the towels fluffy and the toiletries high class. Tea and coffee making in the room . Breakfast is a full, (very full) English with the eggs cooked on demand .

If you stay over a weekend there is limited service of the rooms but you can help yourself to fresh towels.

As it is situated in a distribution depot parking is plentiful and secure.

The only drawback is road noise. Rooms at the front of the house are level with a major road just yards away but it is no trouble at night.

Brilliant stay, reception staff professional and helpful, fab full English breakfast, clean comfortable bed, nice spacious rooms. Only 10mins walk into town Center with lots of places to eat and drink, out in the countryside so great for walks. Had a great stay with my family would definatly stay there again.

As the other reviews explain this is not a conventional B and B but I can highly recommend it. Well decorated, clean, all the usual facilities, good though not outstanding breakfast and relatively cheap. There is no reception and at weekends no staff in evidence except at the Security gates. This means very secure parking at the entrance but no porter so you carry your own bags upstairs along long corridors. It is very quiet, some noise from the adjacent main road but not too intrusive. Outside is a trout stream.

As we arrived on a Friday evening at the secure parking compound, we were greeted by the security chap who gave us our key and directions to our room. Pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation and facilities within the room. The bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent and tea, coffee, shampoo and shower stuff all provided. Hairdryer and trouser press in the room also. If you need more fresh towels or toilet rolls these are kept in a storeroom at the end of the corridor sand you just help yourself. There was no noise during the night which gave us a good night's sleep. Breakfast was cooked to order each morning and there was plenty of it. Having the car parked in a secure place gave us peace of mind whilst we explored Cirencester on foot. The location of the accommodation gave us a good base to explore the surrounding area.
I highly recommend Riverside House

All the staff we spoke with were extremely friendly and helpful, from security through reception to cafeteria: nothing too much trouble. Breakfasts were fine, especially on the Friday; less choice on Saturday but still adequate. It is an easy, level walk into the town centre, and there are several places to eat within a couple of minutes’ walk.

Parking was very secure, with a gated car park and 24hour security, as advertised. Our bedroom and bathroom were basic but modern and comfortable. Being a training/conference centre (for Mitsubishi) and next to a ‘river’ (more of a ditch), and out of the town centre, we booked expecting a peaceful night’s sleep. But noise from the ring road just over the wall began very early and went on till late, and the enormous DHL trucks arrived and left at all hours.

"Might be noisy if you have windows open as close to road. Rooms 107 and 108 were spotless and faced the road rather than the loading depot."
