We ate here two nights in a row on a break in Painswick. The first night, a Monday, the staff were pleasant and friendly and the food was fantastic. We visited again on The tuesday evening and it was a totally different story, staff were uninterested and the food was average at best. A shame considering how nice it was...

We stayed one night and had lunch, dinner & breakfast here. The food was all delicious (crumble was devine) and the service was great, really lovely staff. The room was huge and the bed very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and spacious and loved the White Company toiletries. Overall a great experience and we will recommend this pub to our...

Given that it was a short lunch, we arrived at 1.45pm and food was not served after 2.30 for lunch, it was very good. Service was polite and when I have more time I will definitely go back. The village of Painswick and surrounding areas are ahaven for walkers and eaters alike although they are regarded as tourist centers it does...

We stayed here for one night as we couldn't get 2 nights in The Painswick. So we started our weekend away on the Friday here. Upon arriving it was warm and welcoming with a log fire in full flow. The restaurant was packed. A great sign. As we had booked in to stay they had reserved us a table for...

It has a lovely cozy feel yet is still lovely and bright and warm and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was...

Went for dinner with friends. Excellent food reasonably priced. Would recommend the ham hock as a starter with pork two ways as a main course. Service was good.three or four real ales on offer. Will definitely visit again in future

We have been here several times following a recommendation, but lately standards have really slipped. We went as a family for a birthday meal, and the person having the birthday ordered a chicken pie. There were a few pieces of meat swimming in an unappetising sauce, and the pastry was not nice. We were seated next to a very rowdy...

Around a dozen of us came for lunch and were well-fed from menu and specials board. There were pub standards like hamburgers, fish & chips and some nice specials like baked hake and vegetarian curries. Pricing was medium and the food was very good. Some very nice starters, too. Staff are pleasant and helpful, and there's a nice ambience about...

During a short break in Painswick we visited the Falcon twice. We enjoyed a good dinner and then returned on NYE for a dance to live music. The dinner menu was tasty, decent traditional food, I had a game pie and my wife had trout. The staff were friendly and service was fine, next time we might stay at the...
