Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a very stylish restaurant with a modern but classic feel to the atmosphere and the setting makes you feel special, with a warm and inviting feel. The staff are very professional, courteous and welcoming. The food is just divine and the menu exudes confidence with a modern British touch on some classic European and International influences. The wine list is superb and the stunning wine rack display is a unique work of art. My partner & I have been here twice in a relatively short period of time. the last one with visiting friends and we had a superb evening. Highly recommended.

Arriving at the destination from the Burford direction there are no signs for the hotel only for Yew Tree Restaurant, hence you end up driving towards Stow. Only once you come back on yourself is there a sign for the hotel. It would be useful to have a sign on both walls. Breakfast was sparse and it felt like we were being greedy asking for more toast etc or hot drinks. Dinner. Overdone fish and 8 chips, not a lot of food for a lot of money & dessert was the same. Also, if our room was ready why the need to charge for early check-in??

Stayed here for a night with my wife. The hotel is very nice and ideally situated to visit other nearby towns. Bedrooms are nice and comfortable. Bar is good and there are some comfortable seating areas. The restaurant was very nicely decorated, table cloths and candles on tables. Food is ‘fine dining’ so portions are very small and quite expensive to be honest for what you get. This would be my only criticism. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were excellent, very helpful/polite. Overall, nice place.

The location was excellent and it had plenty of parking. It was easy to drive in and out of the hotel without having to deal with small town streets or finding parking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant 2 nights and the food was very good. Breakfast was plentiful and also very good. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed one night, absolutely perfect stay. Excellent welcome, everywhere, inside and out, really clean, with attractive and fresh decor throughout the hotel. Our double room had every thing we wanted, lovely big comfy bed, heating was adjustable so room temperature was exactly what we wanted, the room was very quiet. Dined in the restaurant and the food was delicious, top quality and the service impeccable, everything was perfect. After a great night's sleep, had breakfast, full English and continental, with table service, which again, was superb. The staff in this hotel really made our stay, seriously couldn't fault a single thing. So pleased we discovered this hotel, it's near to lots of attractions and countryside in the Cotswolds, we visited Seizencote and Batsford Arboretum. We will definitely return.
