We stayed in June 2015, so I am a bit late with this review. We stayed for 3 nights at the Number Nine while visiting the Cotswolds. Could not have been more pleased with our stay. First, Stow is a great town to setup camp for seeing the Cotswolds. We took a morning trip to Bourton on the Water and... More

Stow on the Wold is a fantastic location. We took the train from Oxford to Moreton in Marsh and then the bus from the train station to the market square in Stow and then a short walk to Number Nine. Jim greeted us at the door and his sense of humor (often edging on sarcastic) was immediately evident. We stayed... More

I first visited Number Nine back in 2004 and my wife and I have been making return trips ever since. We normally manage to get back about every two years and our recent visit was our sixth stay at this wonderful premises. I've written extensively about our stays on several occasions in the past, so in order not to repeat... More

My Nephew treated to a stay in the Cotswolds, he booked us into Number Nine, a superb B & B, the owners James & Carol were fantastic hosts very personable, and great sense of humor. We had all 3 rooms booked, and we stayed in room 1, which was quite large, nicely decorated, large comfortable bed. The breakfast was everything... More

Carol and Jimmy were wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome at their Inn! In fact, we enjoyed it so much we decided to stay for an additional day. The rooms were delightful with a view over the charming street, yet with the windows closed you could hear no traffic. The queen size mattresses and bedding were marvelous. We... More

What a fine place to lodge at in Stow. Everything is in walking distance, and there are so many walks and hikes to nearby places. Jim & Carol are immensely welcoming and helpful. Rooms are spotless and breakfasts alone are worth the trip! We stayed in room 3, so had to climb to the smaller room on the 3rd floor.... More

Stayed for two nights to attend a family wedding at Hyde Barn, a 5-minute drive away. Easy and free to park on the street outside. Situated in the heart of Stow so you can stroll to all the shops, restaurants and pubs. A small, family-run guesthouse with three rooms, all located on separate floors up a fairly steep, winding staircase.... More

The Number 9 in Stow-on-the-Wold is a delightfully intimate treasure, magnificently hosted by Jim & Carol who provide genuine warmth and hospitality to their guests. Room #1 is clean and spacious but cozy and tastefully decorated with unspoiled and simple antiques. The bed is a large and comfortable king size mattress that is perfect for repose after a day of... This was a fantastic spot for touring the area. The room was very large with an ensuite bathroom and a sitting area as well. The breakfast was the best we have had on our 3 week tour of the UK. The hosts made us feel welcome from the time we walked in the door. Would stay here again if we... More

Stayed for 2 nights in the attic room in July 2016. The owners greeted us warmly and couldn't be more friendly or welcoming. The house is lovely and very old and full of character. The breakfast was the best I've had this year- wonderful! Wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend it. Great location- ideally located for exploring the local... More
