We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Old Stocks Inn; it is a beautiful boutique hotel offering very comfortable and cosy surroundings. Whilst the atmosphere is informal and relaxed (our muddy little dog was made very welcome!) - there was still an element of luxury with lots of very nice personal touches (little bottles of G&T in our fridge as...

We were only able to spend one night at this charming property. We had arrived after a long night of traveling and the welcome couldn't have been more warm. The lobby and our room were really nicely decorated and there's some great artwork on the walls leading to the rooms. The nespresso & tea service were a welcome treat. We...

Stayed here for two nights for partners bday. The interior of the hotel is stunning...they have just had a huge refurb. We stayed in room 6 one of the garden rooms. It had a large very comfy bed. Tv which you could access your own netfix through. Complimentary mini bar containing soft drinks, milk and water. Nespresso machine and flapjacks....

This is a creaky old building that has been skillfully modernized into a lovely and charming hotel. My room (4) was really big with a plush and comfortable bed, a separate sitting area and a huge bathroom. The hotel is also in the middle of town so the location can't be beat. I would happily stay here again and again.

We travelled to this hotel from Dubai for our New Year break for 3 nights Inc. NYE and was not disappointed. Whilst the building is very old the interior has been modernised throughout in a very individual and quirky retro style making it a very comfortable stay. Management and staff all through the hotel from arrival to departure were pleasant...

Booked a weekend here with my other half for a quiet break. The hotel is really lovely inside, very quaint with a small but cosy bar area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was very good. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending.

After traveling around England before Christmas, we came to the conclusion that The Old Stocks Inn could show a lot of hostelries a thing or two about how things should be done. An intelligent recent refurb makes it an asset to the Cotswolds - upmarket but not fusty or twee. Character is great but it will never make up for...

We booked one of the larger rooms at the front of the hotel after looking at the options on the hotel's excellent web site. The spacious room had a sitting area and coffee table as well as a super-King size bed. The bathroom was large with a bath and walk in shower. There was a low beam in the bedroom...

I think without question this is the best hotel we have stayed in across the UK. The room was just lovely, with it's exposed cotswold stone, huge bed and great bathroom (not to mention the complimentary mini bar - first time I have ever since accommodation offer that). We also, stayed for dinner their restaurant and once again it was...

We booked this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary as I had been to a summer party they had when they first opened. We were shown around and I really liked the rooms with all the little extras they had thought of. I used their website to choose which room we wanted as there are floor plans and images. Liked...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold, The Old Stocks Inn is a recently refurbished 17th-century coaching inn that really stands out from the crowd. Our boutique hotel is luxurious, but not stuffy. Elegant, but not pretentious. Quaint, but not twee. We're passionate about what we do and we have fun doing it. We think this all adds up to a unique experience for our guests - but come and see for yourself! ... more   less
