An underwhelming lunch. Lovely setting on Minchinhampton Common and fine building but the meal didn't live up to the setting. We had bouillabaisse for our main course which lacked taste - rather insipid. For dessert we had coffee creme caramel with coconut ice cream. We couldn't taste the coconut which rather summed up the meal. The staff were pleasant, so... More

The Old Lodge is set in wonderful countryside with lovely views over the Common. The interior is cosy and well furnished and the food was delicious. We had a family reunion of 10 and although a wedding was being catered for we were served very efficiently and made to feel welcome

We had our wedding here last weekend. They were very patient with us. They spent time to talk through what we wanted etc. On the day everything went really smoothly, they decorated the room for us and were ready exactly as planned. The food was delicious. Everyone commented on the wedding breakfast food and I didn't hear a single gripe.... More

We chose the Old Lodge as they are dog friendly and were not disappointed. Our two Golden Retrievers could stay with us whilst we ate in the bar and lounge. Check in was quick and our charming room (number 2) even had a large four poster bed. We ate from the daily menu and the food a was simply stunning.... More

We had our Wedding service & reception at the Old Lodge recently and it was an amazing day. We have been eating at the Old Lodge for years & love the food, service & venue but had never attended an event there. Ryan Dean the Events Manager & Team couldn't have been more helpful & accommodating. It really took the... More

Offering all the facilities of a good pub - ales, wines, a good pub food menu and lots of comfy corners to settle into - the Old Lodge offers so much more by way of being a very successful restaurant with it's large dining... We did have a nice evening here. I had mackerel to start followed by lamb for main. My partner had parfait and chicken. Both were tasty and well presented. The waiter was pleasant but service was slow and he did spill my red wine over the table - we had used our table napkins and ones from my bag by... More

We often pop into The Old Lodge when visiting family for a quick drink or maybe lunch. We always enjoy it, the beer is well kept and lunch is always fresh and tasty. We decided to try dinner one night. It really wasn't very good. Scallops were tiny, flavourless and very over cooked. Chicken pie was not homemade and was... More
