Lovely Cotswald cottage with stunning views and large spacious bedroom with ensuite. Nicky and John were so welcoming, it felt like home from home! She cooked us a delicious dinner (paid extra, but was well worth it!!) and breakfast was wonderful too! Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend Hillsdon as a place to...

On arrival we were greeted by Lucy. She showed us to our room which had an amazing view. The room was lovely, light and had an en-suite shower room. Nicky and John were so kind and friendly we felt very relaxed. We were asked what time we would like breakfast and when we came down in the morning there was...

Lovely welcome from John & Nicky- & conversation over dinner. This property looks over a valley-fabulous,they are down a very narrow lane, but you can walk from here. Real central for all our travel plans in the area-great walks around the village. Comfy bed with lovely soft pillow (a must for a good nights sleep for me), flannels supplied - which...

I stayed nearly three weeks at Hillsdon B&B and can't praise it highly enough. Nicky, John and daughter Lucy are the kindest, most generous people you are likely ever to meet. I had a cold; Nicky gave me medication. I confided I was having trouble sleeping; she gave me tablets. They were all fantastic about giving me directions and advice...

My wife and I had an absolute wonderful time on our vacation here in this quaint house with warm and very friendly hosts in scenic Stroud. Fire place conversations, impressive art work and mosaic all around, yummy food, and fantastically cosy bed!

Great location for the Cotswolds. Our room was perfect with an en suite and we were able to use the kitchen at night which saved us a lot on eating out. Nicky and John were very helpful with our trip, helping us locate locals and set up visits. We stayed extra days we liked it so much. The only place...

Once you find Hillsdon, you might not even want to go off for the day - brilliant views across Stroud valley, easy access to beautiful countryside; and ask if you can sit in the garden. The welcome is always good, I know they have repeat and also longer-term stayers who value the relationship. Food and accommodation excellent.
