Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed overnight close to a wedding venue. The positives were a nice cooked breakfast, comfortable beds and windows that open which helps as no room thermostat. Nice clean warm shower although toilet tissue dispenser is too far away from the toilets. The downsides are the obvious state of disrepair of the hotel rooms and the hallways etc. our room had paint hanging off the walls. The bar staff were rude and the restaurant looks very tired. Definitely falls below the standard expected of a Premier Inn.

This is the third time I have stayed here but NEVER AGAIN. Complained about the really bad smell in my room (107) coming from the bathroom. Staff in reception told me it would go away once the kitchens had finished cleaning the fat fryers as it’s an old, out dated hotel and the smell takes a while to go away (receptionist’s words not mine). This was an excuse to fob me off, luckily I was out for the evening. On my return, the room still stank. Could not change rooms as l was told earlier that the hotel was fully booked. On my first visit last year my room, on the first floor, was near kitchen extraction fans and it was noisy. Second time, a couple of weeks ago, my room was on the ground floor and better, so decided to give Stroud Premier Inn another chance. My mistake, another first floor room! If you are thinking of staying here get a ground floor room, if you’re lucky you’ll have a fresh smelling room.

Home from Home. Premier Inns have been the choice of hotel for years, and staying at a Premier Inn is a big part of any trip away. The consistency of hotel standards, and also the quality of food at the attached restaurants adds to a very comfortable stay.

Stayed at the Premier Inn Stroud for 2 nights. A great night sleep, good sized room and a lovely walk in shower. Very friendly staff. Just what I wanted and expected. I would happily stay here again as the location was great with easy parking.

The Premier Inn hotel was first class. The service, at the attached Brewers Fayre, was really third class. We dined in on the Saturday, table booked for 7.30pm. Food was good. We then sat at our table having a drink until a table became available outside the dining area. We sat there and at 950pm decided to have another drink. The only person on the premises was a cleaner who was vacuum cleaning the restaurant. He informed us that last orders were at 10pm (no one had informed us of this beforehand) .We said it's 9.50pm, the cleaner then informed us that the staff had cashed up and that there nobody to serve us. He then showed us a small notice on the door informing customers that the restaurant closed at 10pm on Saturdays and 9pm on Sundays. No information was given to us on arrival, no information in the rooms and no information given by staff when ordering food. A VERY POOR SERVICE ALL ROUND. NO THOUGHT FOR HOTEL CUSTOMERS WHAT SO EVER>

There are very friendly staff at this hotel. It was a clean room and a comfortable bed which meant a god nights sleep ready for work the next day. The evening meal was lovely as well as the breakfast. Would stay here again in the future.

£10 to get into the room 15 mins early??? Arrived at 14:45 and was told the rooms ready but it will cost you £10 if you want the keys before 15:00hrs??? Never had this before and to be honest I'm disgusted with the penny pinching from Prem Inn... if this is the way you treat guests then I'm sorry but you've lost a customer.

I always say Premier Inn deliver what it says on the tin and mostly they do. I agree with the review below about the loo paper being the other side of the bathroom to the toilet being v awkward. The room was clean warm and comfy as you would expect. The corridors and stairs could really do with a refurb though. Staff friendly & helpful. In very small print on the website it does say NO LIFT. I have a bad hip and lugging luggage up and down the stairs (quite considerable number in our case) was difficult. Make sure you ask for ground floor if you have difficulty. The attached restaurant was fine apart from a really mysterious incident regarding tartare sauce. Not really complaining but it was odd. We were told by a not overly helpful young man that they were not ALLOWED to give us tartare sauce! the people on the next table had it ? although they seemed to be perplexed by it. ps most of the other restaurant personnel were fine just the one youngster was off hand.
