I stayed 2 nights as I was attending a car event at nearby Castle Combe. I am finding it difficult to find anything to criticise. The staff. Mostly from Eastern Europe I think were efficient and friendly The receptionist on arrival was great. Please mrs May do not send her home! The single room was spacious and the en suite...

I've just returned from four nights at The Hare and Hounds in Westonbirt. I was there for a course, rather than pleasure but it genuinely was a pleasure to stay there. The staff are a credit to the hotel, the food was excellent and the hotel and grounds (and surrounding area) are simply beautiful. On the final day of our...

Spent a two night break at Hare and Hounds. Greeted by very friendly and accommodating staff and shown to well appointed bedroom with all amenities including a four poster bed. Very clean and comfortable with good quality toiletries in bathroom. Ate in Jack Hares Bar and pleased with both quality and quantity of food and the attentive service. Breakfast is...

On a busy road between Tetbury and Badminton? Maybe, but that's of no consequence in a comfortable, quiet garden room with all the amenities anyone might ask for and a buffet breakfast to keep one going until dinner: In house or in one of the surrounding, historic inns. Westonbirt Arboretum next door, Prince Charles's Highgrove en route to historic Tetbury....

Stayed here after visiting Highgrove Gardens. The hotel is midway between Highgrove and Westonbirt. We had a good sized comfortable room and the hotel was dog friendly as well. We even managed to find an excellent nearby dog-sitter / walker for when we were at Highgrove. There is an excellent restaurant for dinner/breakfast and a very nice public bar as...

This hotel is one of my favourites in the Cotswolds. Beautiful setting, well appointed with a great pub and dining room. Rooms are clustered in separate buildings on the site giving it a cozy country feel. The only draw back in the summer season is the weddings. Sometimes there can be three or more on a weekend starting Friday. Due...

Dear Kathleen B, Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I am so pleased that you enjoy our hotel and please accept my apologies if your stay was disturbed. We were staying for a wedding The 'good' double room was well appointed, sunny and spacious - but the floral bed spread and cushions were dirty - and would have been better not there - there were cobwebs above the bed and the walls were marked. The bathroom was well stocked but the grouting was dirty and there was a...

Dear Morag P, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I am sorry that we have let ourselves down slightly during your stay, I can assure you that this is no way indicative of our usual high standards. My girlfriend and I stayed for three nights on a terrific deal of three nights for the price of two. We arrived from the states at noon and the staff made a wonderful effort to get us in our room early before a reservation for a tour and high tea at Highgrove House. Our room and the common rooms were...

The hotel itself is nice enough but the approach to your stay shows how much they welcome your business It's Sunday night and the disco has just started. It goes on until midnight but nobody will advise you of this fact, at the time of your booking, anytime between then and checking in ( giving you a chance to perhaps...
