Travellers' Choice
A charming hotel set in beautiful gardens and woodland - ideally located with excellent road links to M4 and M5 motorways. The hotel offers 44 individually furnished bedrooms and suites. There are two spacious lounges plus a choice of dining. The elegant Westonbirt Restaurant offers a fine selection of dishes utilising seasonal and local produce wherever possible. The informal menus in Jack Hare's are also seasonal and are served in traditional pub surroundings.

We booked a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast Package. We really enjoyed our evening meal in the Beaufort Restaurant, good food (including breakfast) and service. We had a Silkwood room which was a generous size and well furnished. Staff were friendly, the reception team were most welcoming and had been in touch before our stay to confirm details such as restaurant times. It felt very Covid safe.

Sadly we had an unfriendly welcome here. We arrived just after 230, waited ages to be seated, were told only afternoon tea and sandwiches available . No menu provided until ReQuested No prices for afternoon tea on menu. Scone was delicious, crab roll average, coffee not drinkable Won’t be coming again

My partner booked the magnolia Suite as a surprise anniversary treat for one night. From the moment we arrived at the hotel the service we received was amazing from all staff. The food was spectacular and such a lovely treat for an anniversary, we even got given a complimentary glass of proccecco with our evening meal from the manager which you just a lovely touch. Our room was stunning, the hot tub being my favourite part my only thing I would say the hotel could change would be to provide slippers in the suite as to walk across the patio to the lounge area was cold on the feet and if you stepped on a stone it was abit sharp but this would be my only negative I could say throughout out fantastic stay. Thank you hare and hounds for making our anniversary so perfect.

We had lunch here prior to a visit to Westonbirt Arboretum and were very impressed. The menu was varied and imaginative, the staff helpful and the quality excellent. After a chunky ham hock terrine starter, I had roast loin of pork while my wife had the rib of beef. The pork was as tender as I have tasted and also still had the crackling attached, rather than separate as you often get now. With dessert, we were spoilt for choice and eventually chose the chocolate mousse and the madeleines. However, my wife then saw the raspberry mille-feuille going to another diner and wished she'd chosen that! Definitely recommended, total bill including drinks and service was £90.

This hotel is superb. Reasonable in price, food outstanding, room really lovely, lounge areas with the fires very comforting and the staff are excellent also. On top of that I have not been to a place so diligent re CovId. The biggest compliment that I can pay this hotel is on booking out we booked to return in November!!! Although not down to the hotel, the surrounding area is fantastic also.
