We won a nights stay when we took part in the Arkells ale trail, my Partner and I used our vouchers to make a weekend stay. We haven’t been disappointed. The staff are lovely, through out the pub/restaurant and the staff on the front desk. The room was lovely, clean and tidy & a good selection of teas and coffee as well as biscuits and bottled water. There is a selection of magazines about the local area in the room to help you find things to do. It’s a short walk from the centre of the town & there’s a coop and lots of shops and other cafes/restaurants there too. The breakfast was lovely. We both had a full English on the first morning. (I am writing this before the second) Along with a cooked item from the menu you can also have cereal/fruit/toast & there is a good Selection of cereals and fruit to choose from plus toast with an array of spreads. It’s definitely a lovely place to stay or even just to visit for a lunch or dinner out! I am looking forward to visiting in the summer as the garden looks lovely! We stayed at The Priory Inn this weekend for a friends get together. There were 11 of us in total. The rooms are nicely furnished and clean. As we were a large party, we were offered the hotel's function room for dinner & breakfast, which was perfect for us and allowed us to relax and not worry about disturbing other guests. The food was really good and the staff were amazing and really friendly, especially Natalie, The Manager, who made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay a pleasant experience. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel and we will definitely be returning.

Very disappointed with the family room. Could not complain and ask to be moved as we had the biggest room, as our teenage daughter with us. Quite poor not having a TV in the bedroom so nothing to watch unless we all piled onto our daughters settee bed but don’t think that would have survived well. Bathroom was the worst; just needs someone to get on their hands and knees with a bit of Viakal and scrub everywhere. In fact was so unhappy with bathroom I just had a strip wash and no shower - unheard of! Stains all over bedroom carpets; again nothing a bit of 1001 wouldn’t fix. Really noisy from the restaurant / bar so couldn’t sleep till everyone left then woke up at 2.15 and never slept again. Can’t fault hospitality and service which were spot on and towels and sheets were spotless and evening meal and breakfast were ok. Won’t be back I’m afraid.

When asking the waitress if there was a table for two her reply was “well I will have to see” making it sound as if they were rushed off their feet! Which wasn’t the case as there was at least 8 tablets free! This attitude is not acceptable. We felt like we were bothering her or we should’ve booked. The first impression customers get about the restaurant is the first person the speak too, receptionist etc. Food was average and the gentleman who took our bill was so over the top, it was actually quite cringe. I do feel they need to improve their customer service.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay here. The room was lovely; the breakfasts were fabulous and the staff were all very helpful. We also had lovely evening meals there. The hotel has ample car parking, which is great. Tetbury is beautiful and well located for exploring the surrounding area. We will definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Priory Inn for a weekend break, using it as a base to visit places of interest in south Gloucestershire. We were broadly happy with our experience. The decoration of the rooms looked a little tired, but that's really our only criticism. The beds were comfy, the breakfasts were excellent, and the bathroom actually had a bath (wonderful!). On our first evening we used the hotel dining room for dinner, and that too was excellent (I recommend the pork). Above all, I'd like to congratulate the lady front-of-house manager who was always friendly, helpful and on top of things. She gave the impression of someone who loved her job.

We have just returned from a lovely couple of days at the Priory Inn, where we received a very warm and friendly welcome from Natalie and her friendly staff. The rooms were comfortable, the food excellent, and we felt nothing was too much trouble. Tetbury is an interesting town to nose around, with very pleasant walks in the surrounding countryside. Altogether a lovely relaxing stay.

A group of five. Mains and puddings all good especially brisket, fish and chips and pavlova. Welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. A pleasant evening all round. We would go again if we were in the area.
