Stayed in Winchcombe for a week and the first port of call when we arrived is to check out the local drinking and eating places so called in early Saturday evening expecting a warm friendly pub however not the case. The lady behind the bar was evidently having a bad day as she was stressed due to a busy lunchtime... More

After some misadventures on the trail and a misplaced wallet, we arrived to the Plaisterers Arms early, but were welcomed by Liz and shown our rooms. A bargain and as all have mentioned, clean with a great shower, which is what you are looking for when using the Cotswold Way or any other touristy endeavour. Liz and her friends went... More

I stayed for 3 nights. Initial reception made me feel anxious as I was travelling alone with a small dog. Supposed to be a dog friendly pub, but landlady started telling me what I could and couldn't do with my dog. Room - tatty, wardrobe door knob missing and shower sellotaped onto hose which leaked. Landlady and staff - breakfast... More

My wife and I stayed here one night as we walked the Cotswolds way. After a day of walking we arrived at the pub to find them closed in between lunch and dinner, but luckily caught the worker as she left the side entrance. She was very friendly and brought us in and checked us in and gave us a... More

A Warm Winchcombe Welcome Awaits you at the Plaiseterers Arms. This is such a quaint old place with a lovely landlady. The rooms have been upgraded since I last stayed and free Wi-fi is now available throughout the building, including the bedrooms. Comfy beds, flat screen TVs and en-suite facilities are standard. I love Room 1 it looks out over... More

Stayed here on Monday night as was visiting some friends and wanted to stay somewhere central in Winchcombe. Liz was very welcoming when we arrived and showed to our room. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The ensuite was a good size and the shower was powerful. Breakfast was also fantastic and all cook fresh using locally... More

There is no doubt that some of the criticism about the accommodation is valid but most of it is not. The rooms are tired and in need of a lick of paint, I do not think anyone would argue with that. We had the room at the back and yes it is a small double but then, it is a... More

attending a wedding locally we needed a resting place close to the reception venue which is in the wilds between Cheltenham and Winchcombe. The Plaisterer's Arms was recommended by a friend and the Trip Advisor reviews were good. We were not disappointed.. Our welcome was cheerful. the room (no1 ) although with a steep climb up a couple of stairs... More

This pub is in a perfect location. We visited in April 2015 for a meal and drink and because of our good experience we decided to stay overnight this year in April 2016. Our double room at the back of the building was very small, cramped and shabby. It was really only suitable for a single bed. The central heating... More
