Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel's Favourite
Just came back from a lovely weekend break, firstly the positioning of the hotel is great 4 minutes from the train station and gunwarf quays and 1 minute to the famous Portsmouth dockyard. The staff were great and was willing to help with whatever we needed, they had a baggage store room so we was able to leave our bags there safely until it was time to check in. The room itself was incredibly clean and it was very quite (my room was at the back of the hotel) our rooms were next to each other which made it a bit easier for my family. The breakfast was super and they had plenty of options. As someone who is gluten intolerant I was able to get gluten free bread for toast, overall there was plenty to eat even with an allergy 😊. We had a lovely time and will certainly be coming back!!

Hotel is in a great location, literally over the road from the Historic Dockyards. Discounted parking is helpful too. Family room was clean and usual good standard for a Premier Inn. However there's plenty that let this hotel down. Breakfast, only offered us the full price cooked option until we queried it. Having paid and sat down they then told us there was no white bread or fruit available - this was at 9am on a Sunday morning, so most guests hadn't even surfaced yet!! Reception - 24-7 available. We waited +10 minutes at 9.30am on a Monday morning, rang the buzzer and no reply. Gave up in the end. Staff are clearly maxed out. Milk - no milk available on Sunday or Tuesday. We were told the next delivery is Thursday?! There's another Premier Inn 10 minutes away or a coop next door - just go and get some!! This appitemises this hotel, stuff happens but noone has any desire to sort it out and provide a good service. Feels like they are capitalising on their good location and think that's OK. Really poor and not what experience in other Premier Inns.

Comfortable bed, good bathroom with proper shower, clean and quiet (at back of building). Friendly staff, easy check-in. On-site restaurant. Great location close to Gunwharf quays, Historic dockyard, ferries and station. Ample, secure overnight parking behind in multi-story car park.

Located right by the dockyard so perfect for sightseeing. Friendly staff, great restaurant/bar area which had happy hour 4-8. Room for 2 adults and 2 kids was spacious and clean and even a few treats on the beds for the kids. Best Premier inn we have stayed in. Would definitely return in the future.

Modern hotel with very good facilities that is perfect for visiting the dockyard, Old Portsmouth and Gunwharf Quays. The bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. We used the dockyard car park which is on the opposite side of the road to the hotel. It felt secure and discount vouchers are available from the hotel reception to reduce the charge on exit

The location of the hotel was perfect for us as we travelled by train and the hotel was near the station. Easy access to the Quay shopping centre and other shops. Bar +Block was lovely. Overall the staff at both venues were great and we felt very relaxed and welcomed. Will definitely be returning 😊
