Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel doesn't have its own restaurant like most travel lodges, but it has a hungry horse restaurant within 10 metres of front door which also does a cooked breakfast in morning,. Rooms in hotel are comfortable and well looked after,.

Had a great stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Perfect for what we needed. Plenty of free parking and easy to get around Portsmouth from. I’d like to thank Kirsty and the rest of the team for making our stay pleasant. Breakfast in the adjoining restaurant was delicious and well worth the money.

Got welcomed by Kirsty on the reception with a smile and very polite. We’ll be booking into this travelodge again because of the happy atmosphere. The room and bathroom was very clean and tidy with a nice clean smell all around the hotel. Many thanks to Kirsty

The room was good, plumbing worked well and the staff including Marg were very helpful and friendly. The price charged was very reasonable. There was plenty of parking with CCTV and 5 mins walk to the bus into the town centre. For the money it was excellent value. Travelodge have come a long way. Well done.
