Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great stay. The staff were fantastic, especially charlotte, on reception. My friends and I were booked on different floors, and Charlotte spent the time getting us together. This made for a more comfortable stay. The other staff members were fantastic, always around when you need something. Our rooms were perfect so 100% on the housekeeping!

Lovely bed and quality bed linen. Detachable shower head which was much easier. Plug sockets and usb by the bedside table, many rooms do not have these at this hotel. Easy check in and easy location near to the car.

The drains or toilet was very smelly and meant I could not leave the toilet door ajar at night ? Food was ok but self check in was sole less ? Post code takes you to the Premier inn next door which is stupid as you unload your bags then need to load them up again ?

Positives - Room was lovely, bed was great Negatives - Heater not working, I have never been so cold in all of my life, didn’t sleep a wink,I couldn’t find any staff to report it, please Premier Inn stop cutting back on staff it does you no favours. Waited 10 minutes for a staff member to appear to check me in, not good. Got hit with a £10 early check inn fee an hour before I was due, what a cheap money making scam considering the hotel was empty & the room was ready. Outside the hotel doors it was filthy with over filled bins & hundreds of cigarette butts strewn all over the floor along with takeaway rubbish, 10 minutes with a broom would’ve made a more pleasant arrival but hey I forgot you’ve got no staff. Such a shame because I’ve been using Premier inns all my life

Long waits upon arrival with non existent staff, apart from a young lady called Tess who was brilliant. Cold room with no safety screen. Next to main road and could hear the traffic all night even with windows and curtains shut. Will not be returning in the future

Stayed for on my own for 5 nights for a combination of meetings in the area and working on my boat. The ground floor standard room was just as expected - clean and very comfortable. It was also very quiet. The shower was hot and powerful and the breakfast, included in the rate, was very well cooked. My only disappointment was the one evening meal I ate there. I’ll be back for further work in my boat in a couple of months.

It was very nice place to stay but unfortunately there were no staff around and there was 3 different groups all waiting to check I, despite ringing the bell nobody came so we had to use the self checkin machine which took forever but everything else was very comfortable

Arrived to welcoming staff. Our premier room was eagerly awaited after a long ferry journey and a comfortable warm bed was very much needed. The room on arrival was absolutely freezing and you could see your own breath. As we regularly stay in these hotels we are familiar with the heating system. The room, bed and bathroom was chilled. We reported this at 10pm. The receptionist said she would override the heating system and it would take 15 minutes to warm the room up. At 11 pm and still bitterly cold, the bed too, the situation was ridiculous. We eventually went to bed at 11.30pm, after wearing our coats for an hour. Breakfast. Cold food. Dried up food. And a meeting in place at the entrance to the breakfast area. Having to walk through a meeting at 10am when food is served until 10.30am is not acceptable. Again await of 15/20 minutes for food is not acceptable. Cook it to order is better when not busy and would create less wastage. A refund for breakfast was offered, and appreciated, but hot fresh food was actually what was needed. My husband spoke to the manager politely and explained the whole situation. She agreed. I would like to add that the young man on breakfast duty was polite, respectful and very professional.
