I was very impressed with Amberley Guest House, my room was warm and had a comfortable bed, sink, TV, free wifi, a desk, tea making facilities and space to hang my clothes. The bedroom, bathroom and communal areas were very clean and tidy and there were really useful food preparation facilities, including fridges, microwave plates and cutlery. The owners were...

Stayed there in self-catered housing for a couple of weeks, small room but clean housing and very arranging hosts. Well located, 15 min walk from main shops/streets. Eliana does everything she can to help her guests!

A really warm welcome. A spotlessly clean, comfortable en suite room. A beautifully cooked breakfast. What more can you want for £53? I will certainly stay here again whenever I am looking for a bed in Southampton. Excellent!

Do not stay here. Dirty grubby. Small room. Small dark shower room. Small bedroom. The only thing going for it is the land lady who is really friendly. I am not sure what else to say apart from go somewhere different.

I received a very warm welcome from Eliana on my early arrival at Amberley Lodge Guest House and immediately offered tea/coffee/biscuits including an excellent selection of herbal tea which is my preference. Even though it was obviously a very busy time of day for her she still made time to have a chat with me plus every effort was made...

We "randomly" choose this Guest House on Google as we didn't have a clue on where to stay in Southampton. Our 5 years old wanted to visit the Titanic exhibit @ Seacity Museum. We couldn't have been luckier in choosing it! Eliana and Peter are two charming hosts and made us feel at home. We had the room on the...

We stayed for 2 nights with friends whilst attending a festival in Southampton and it was the perfect place to stay. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming that we felt at home straight away. Being greeted with a coffee and a chat was a lovely touch. The rooms were clean and comfortable (and quiet) and the breakfast was excellent....

“The room I had was at the front and was really noisy as it faced a a main road and a set of traffic lights so lots of cars slowing down and speeding up. If you need quiet you will have to let the owner know in advance.”

“We were in a ground floor room at the front (possibly 1A). Despite being close to a busy road, it was actually very quiet in the room and we weren't disturbed by traffic at all. I am not a great sleeper, so this was quite important for me!”
