Stayed with my wife whilst visiting family near by - our second stay at this guest house. A little disappointed this time around - first visit in a different ground floor room was fine - hence the return visit. This room (9) was borderline ok but the en-suite bathroom was too small with tired and aged fittings. Not the brightest...

Very clean. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful recommended a local pub The Wellington Arms which was within walking distance also very good.A good breakfast, overall excellent value. Car park is small but the owner manage it so everyone was accommodated.

Thank you for cour comments, we try hard to accommodate all our guests needs and answer any questions. The Welly Arms is one of our haunts. Maybe we will see you some time in the future and we can recomend other traditional ale venues for which Southampton has plenty

I always think of a 'Guest House' being , slightly better than someone offering basic 'B&B ' accommodation. Having stayed at a range of B&B's in the past, the term 'Hotel' or 'Guest House', does not guarantee much, other than pretty basic accommodation! It is always wise to read reviews on 'Trip Advisor' before booking anything. That said, we had...

Thank you for your comments. We are in the process of re developing the Guest House so maybe, if you come again, you will feel more "comfortable" in our rooms. The colours chosen for the rooms are traditional Victorian in keeping with the age of the property. I think an overly modern decor would be out of character. But every...

Great value, very clean, the proprietors were delightful, free parking, close to amenities. Breakfast was cooked to order to a very high standard on a hot plate. I would have no hesitation coming back if in the area.

Was my first time in Southampton and I could not have picked a better place to stay. It was walkable to restaurants and rail station. The breakfast was what blew me away. It was the full English breakfast. The owner was helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. Not close to the airport however.

Thank you for your kind comments. The airport is only 2 stops by train so not too tricky to get to us. Better than having it flying to close. Maybe on your second visit to Southampton we will see you again.

2 adults 2 children. We stayed 1 night to visit the theatre. Roomy family room with attached side room for the kids. Clean, lots of storage space and extra pillows/blankets. Tea/coffee facilities are plentiful. Large flatscreen tv's. Friendly and helpful owners. We needed an early breakfast and they were very accommodating. Good food. Parking is available, but is a tight...

The owner was very nice and accommodating. The room was very basic. Breakfast was very good. The location is not very convenient to restaurants, shopping and transportation hubs. Thought the star rating was overstated.

Perhaps you could tell us what would make your stay more comfortable and less basic. Unless you want to be right in the middle of town we are just a short 10 minute walk from West Key Shopping Centre. 8 minutes from Southampton Central train station and the 10 minute walk to Bedford Place and London Road area of Southampton...

This is my second visit to this B& B.Large room with en suite with flat screen TVs. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Ideally situated for the cruise terminals and Town center. Both within a 20 walk

The single room at this guest house is exactly that, a single bed with desk, mini closet and personal sink (and mirror). The owner, Martin, is a very attentive host. Breakfast was Well presented, well cooked and very tasty. As a solo traveller wanting a clean well kept room at a reasonable cost this was a great choice. Would stay...
