Stayed at this hotel a few times now and will always be my first choice when visiting Southampton. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and polite. Location is great only a few minutes walk from the town centre.

Sadly this hotel is starting to show its age. It has the feel of an old hotel that is painting over the cracks. The staff were pleasant enough and we were certainly made to feel welcome. It is also in a good location for central Southampton although the lack of car park may be an issue for some.

The hotel advertises itself as central but it's actually located beyond the town. Though the hotel is 500 years old you expect creaks and old accommodation but the decor was dirty and needed a good lick of paint. The restaurant was too expensive -at £13.99 per breakfast it is too much when you can visit Weatherspoons two doors down and...
