I cant fault the staff at all, I became ill when waiting for my meal. I could only eat three chips on my plate. The chef then platted my dinner up for me to take back to my room and gave me a bottle of water to take with me. They said i hope you feel better soon. They really...

A nice old hotel with atmosphere and friendly staff but some of the ground floor rooms suffer from street noise and are bit basic. The hotel is almost next door to Wetherspoons and very close to town centre. We would return as it is clean and the price can be quite competitive. It has a comfortable lounge in the foyer...

I have just returned from a two week stay here for business. I went went with a group of people. The hotel has really lovely charm about it and the location is perfect as it's in the center of town. The check in staff were friendly and helpful, but the charge for parking is a joke. Parking should be included....

Do not stay at this hotel at any cost! The beds are filthy and have huge dips in. Bathroom full of mouldy, damp as is bedroom. Full of black mould and spores dangerous to health. Management are appalling. They expect you to pay for this hell hole and refuse to reimburse you!

We got a last minute cheap deal and you really do get what you pay for in this world! The hotel is very old and although there's been a bit of upgrading there's a long way to go. Our room was tiny and the soundproofing between floors isn't up to much as we could hear people talking in the room...

Stayed after a trip on a cruise ship for one night. Great location right in the city centre. Had a room at the back which was quiet. I suspect rooms at the front of the hotel could be noisy due to volume of traffic. Staff very obliging and helpful. We were allowed to leave our luggage at the hotel before...

Ideally situated for shops and town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Finding carpark a bit tricky but got there in the end and a bit of a trek on uneven ground in pouring rain to get to reception Rooms was ok. Bit on the small side. Bathroom very dated and in need of some work. The whole hotel needs...

Cons: Room was small and cramped, no cupboard space, creaky floors everywhere (we know it's an old building but...), poorly designed basin and badly fitted tap, breakfast poor value for money (worst coffee ever and not fresh juices), car park charged at £5 per day. Pros: Room and bathroom were clean daily, staff were friendly and helpful, bed was comfortable,...

Perfect for city centre, and very close to the port. Bed was comfy, room warm and facilities very acceptable. Breakfast good and staff are obliging. Car Park at rear is OK needing better lighting and reduction of potential trip hazards.
