We booked this hotel for its location close to paultons park. It was one of the cheapest less than 15mins from.the park at £52.70 for a night for 2 adults and 1 child.
Arrived at 230, check in said 3pm but we were able to get straight in. I pre paid, but we had to leave a card approval for any possible damages to be charged.(fair enough).
We stayed in room 14 on the ground floor, it was quiet enough considering were on a services entrance by the side of the M27.
The room its self was good. Clean beds, clean bath & loo. 3 sets of fresh towels.
We had a double bed & a pull out double sofa for my 6year old.
Room had freeview tv, hairdryer, kettle & coffee/tea facilities. shower/bath gel in bathroom & plenty of sockets for charging your tech.
The lady at check in was polite & helpful.

We didn't use any of the services facilities but beside the hotel is a mcdonalds, leon restaurant & costa coffee. There is also a fuel station with the usual goods for sale inside(pop, snacks, mags etc).
We walked up and over the motorway bridge down Rownhams road toward North Baddesley. it says its 2miles, it took us 35minutes to walk (with a 6year old in tow) into the centre of north Baddesley where we found Vita Bella at the Ox, a lovely little italian inside a pub.
Food was amaze, nice quiet little pub too.
While there we discovered a big activity park too directly across the road that had a zip line, swings etc. Son loved it.
Also a co op opposite the pub so if you need bits go there its cheaper than services.
We could have driven, it worked out 7miles by car as you have to go up the M27 a few miles to come off jct 3. The walk was welcome however, safe path all the way to North Baddesley & bus number 4 runs up & down the 2mile stretch if you don't want to walk.

This hotel is a perfect base if your doing Paultons park.

Lovely stay here, very quiet at night, we requested more pillows which were not a problem. WIFI didn’t work for us. Plenty of towels and toiletries were a added bonus, tea and coffee making facilities, had a fan & iron in the room. A enjoyable stay.

Stopped here for two nights, dog frendly hotel, good start, rooms average but clean but a little tired, needs updating but does reflect the price, very cheap compared to other local hotels. Extremely friendly staff but on the downside, was put in a room next to a very noisy family with children who looking through several other rooms open windows, although when we complained to reception they would of acted but the occupants had left that morning. The following morning around 6am we were woken by car owners revving their engines in the services next to the hotel, this continued for around two hours!! apperantly a car meet, unfortunately both these incidences will deter us from staying at the hotel in the future.

Very clean and sanatised during pandemic. Room had all that was needed for a comfortable stay. Very impressed for value of money, only difficulty was postcode does not bring you to location so took a while to find it. Plenty of parking areas. Mcdonalds next door where we had breakfast.(didnt book breakfast in booking) Receptionist was very friendly and understood the difficulties we had with children. Cleaners were helpful and hardworking.

Very basic room with no air conditioner , the windows were too small when you open it to change the air inside the room. I couldn’t take my shower the water was too cold _No Hot water . Wasting money for a dusty and smelly room the bed wasn’t clean I found hair on it . Avoid this hotel especially people who suffering from allergies or asthma because it has a very strong smell of damp and dust.

Our stay was beyond low class accommodation. We had a bath it would not run without the shower also pouring over us. We had broken sockets with exposed wires. The light in the bathroom flickered each time it switched only son with diabetes and epilepsy this was extremely risky for me. The window wouldn’t close properly so we had the full draft. There was clearly a problem with the sewage pipes the stench was just awful at worst around the entrance. My opinion this hotel was far below the budget brand and presented far too many risks to our safety due to the broken sockets and extremely hot hairdryer flickering light in the bathroom and fault with the shower and bath unable to work separately. Very disappointing and not at all worth the money paid.

Booked this hotel for a week for 2 employees working away from home. They were Given a room with a broken lock & told to put a chair up against it to secure the door. Needless to say left the premises & still awaiting a refund a week later! Won’t be returning.

My daughter and I checked in on September 11, 2023. Upon check in, we were greater by Debbie and the hotel manager Phil. They were both extremely pleasant and very welcoming. We chatted for a few minutes and they gave each of us a bottle of water and a candybar of our choosing(very nice touch). They explained that due to the unusual warm weather, that since the hotel does not have central air, is we feel that the room is too warm, to please let them know and they will bring us a fan, which later that evening I went down to the front desk and spoke with Karen about needing a fan and she right away went and brought us one to our room.
There was not a restaurant in the hotel but there was a service station with a few places inside to eat only about a few hundred feet away, very convenient. We also noticed that they had a large bowl at the entrance with a sign saying it was for their guests fur friends. Being that I am a pet owner( didn't have mine with me) I thought this was a nice touch. For any future visits to Southampton, England, I will defiantly stay at this hotel again. Thank you Phil, Debbie and Karen, you guys ROCK!

Sadly I would NEVER recommend anyone to go to this hotel! I have no choice but to stay here this evening as my children are fast asleep but oh my did we get treated appalling. So we arrived after a long journey! I booked via booking.com and I selected 2 adults 3 children not realising that it changed it to 1 adult and 3 children so yes I didn't check because I assumed it would be what I had entered. Anyway upon arrival I went to check in and the lady at the desk said you can't have five in a room you have to book another I was confused and tried to explain but she cut me off and said that's booking.com problem call them! So I did that and they said they would speak to the hotel but of course the answer was no we not having it book another room. We explained we didn't have money and the children were tired and if there was any way they could help us in this one expection but they categorically refused and told us it was our problem. I asked to see this policy that says it is a health and saftey issue and she told me to wait for the manager to dicuss it. We managed to borrow some money to pay for the second room because we had to and they refused to refund us so we had no choice. When the manager came in I tried to get an apology but instead he basically told me to get out his sight as nothing was going to be done and he was awfully condescending and insinuted i was stupid and i didnt know how to book a room. He did not show me any policy stating it was illegal or a health hazard for 4 five to be in the room and he said if I didn't like it I could leave. There was.no apology for his employees behaviour. He apparently was the owner as he backed her 100% without even hearing me side and made ridiculous accusations of his employee saying I was abusive when I didn't even raise my voice or use profoul language but just frustration at the lack or empathy!

Definitely will never use this hotel ever again!!!!!!!!

The room was smelly, staff seemed unbothered and we had to terminate our stay at full cost. The offensive smell in the room caused us all headaches. Went to holiday inn nearby.

So don’t even bother booking this!!

Yes, absolutely! This hotel does offer luggage storage for its guests. Whether you arrive early and need to store your luggage before check-in or have checked out but still have some time before departure, the hotel happily provides a safe space to store your belongings.
