We stayed for two nights at the beginning of April and had a lovely time. We were greeted warmly at Reception, our room was large and well appointed, and the dinners and breakfasts were of a high standard.

We never saw any staff whilst staying at this hotel, no reception staff or someone to give you your key. Breakfast had obviously been microwaved and was not tasty at all. Room was lovely and very clean, nice beds but a rubbish shower. All in all not the most pleasant of hotel, would have been nice to meet at least...

We held a luncheon party for 14 adults and 2 children on a Saturday afternoon. Excellent food and careful attention to our special requirements in a relaxed setting made the celebration a most enjoyable experience. Good value menu, good selection at a very reasonable price, given that the room was ours for the whole afternoon.

Stayed for one night recently. Depressing room (nothing like the two examples in the photo gallery), shower room, though large, had hairs on the shower tiles, damp and cobwebs on the ceiling and grimy paintwork. Breakfast was ok; my husband had the full English and enjoyed that but little choice of fruit, which is what I wanted. Did not have...

This is a family run hotel with comfy beds, very helpful staff and a good English breakfast - the sausages are awesome. We had dinner one evening in the hotel - good it was, but a shame to see we were the only takers. I can guess why. This hotel is two miles outside the City and people don't "drop...

Stayed here night before walking South Downs Way. Good hotel slightly out of Winchester but bus service stops just outside. Accommodation good, nice meal in the restaurant and the stand out point for me was they spotted we had left our phone charger in the room and made sure it was with our bag to go the next hotel for...

I stayed here recently for a wedding and phoned in advance to ask if checking in early would be ok, and they were very friendly and helpful. My room was nice and the cooked breakfast was good too. Its around 10 mins drive from middle of Winchester so its not in the city centre if that is what you're looking...

We stayed here for 1 night when visiting our son at Winchester uni. First impression from outside wasn't great but the service at reception was good and our room was a good size with all that we needed. Nice bar area, breakfast was lovely but having stayed at other hotels in Winchester we did feel it was overpriced in comparison.

I have never stayed at this hotel as I live locally but I have eaten there many times so I am reviewing the food. It is always very good, well prepared and presented. It is also very good value. The owners, Julia and Kevin, are delightful and nothing seems too much trouble, and the remainder of the staff are always...

We stayed in room 4 for one night. The room was cold when we arrived, but it soon warmed up. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. WiFi worked fine. We decided to dine in the hotel as it was very cold outside, and the food was excellent, better than we have had in some expensive restaurants. I...
