Excellent staff - Anna on reception you were a star helping me out which my hot room last week - THANK YOU! Restaurant is pretty good, £25 for two courses and a drink offer is great VFM. The 'egg lady' at breakfast is fabulous, really friendly. The hotel is a little out of town though and if you want to eat there a 10 min drive or probably a taxi as the parking is awful in town! No hesitation in stopping there again, as I do regularly. Easy access from the motorway and A34.

Had to write a review as I read some poor reviews of the hotel which nearly put me off booking. I had a great time for my birthday weekend. A well put together Holiday Inn, very nice inside - with a lovely clean room. A little chilli in the lobby area however it is a huge space to heat. For us it was the staff that made it. A warm welcome, good bar staff, waiting staff - and special mention to the breakfast staff - both in front of and behind the kitchen area. No hassle at all when asking for an ice bucket and glasses - just a Happy Birthday wish! Breakfasts were super - couldn't ask for more. Evening meals were fine - basic choices, but tasty. Had a couple of treatments in the Anna Spa. Again - very nice, clean and great staff. Very small and time is allocated - you are made aware of this before you book and it is clear on the website. Will definitely go back. I suppose it all depends upon what you want and your expectations. But for us it was the best experience we have had at a Holiday Inn. So grateful to the staff for making it such a good couple of nights. Please maintain your friendly and helpful so we are not disappointed when we return some time next year. The check in was very easy and the staff were very accommodating. The room was very cosy with a very comfortable bed. There were problems with the plumbing and the toilet flush. We had chosen to stay here as we were visiting the Christmas Market in Winchester. The hotel is conveniently on the 64 bus route into the city centre and so enabled my wife and myself to both savour the mulled wine. The bus back to the hotel after 6pm is approx one bus per hour. The quality of the breakfast was good. Overall I found this a very pleasant experience and a very comfortable night stay.

Visited here for the second time , the hotel is conveniently situated for Winchester . The rooms are comfortable and the bar area is nice . Prices reasonable and I Would certainly recommend this place if you are visiting Winchester and need something away from the busyness of the town . There is lots of free parking as well ..

This hotel was absolutely amazing as the venue that my daughter and son in law chose for their wedding day … From start to finish all the staff were friendly , helpful and just as excited about the wedding as we all were. Perfect rooms for the ceremony and reception, the food was delicious alot of compliments from the guests regarding the food from the wedding breakfast and evening reception . Very accommodating allowing us to all get ready in our own time and gave us the best rooms to do so. Master of ceremony Joe was amazing. Sally was great keeping in contact with us all. Wouldn't recommend this hotel. Not worth the money- £200 for 4 of us (2 adults, 2 children )The room was ok, large size and 2 double beds. Beds comfortable - this is the one star. No breakfast included in our rate (hadn't realised) £15 per person to add it. No pool, there is a spa but it's £25 per person to use and no children allowed. The Starbucks in lobby is not a true Starbucks only basic latte etc available. We booked this as a family break thinking we would relax for evening at hotel but there is literally nothing to do beyond your room. Try the New Place 11 miles away it's perfect and at a better rate.

Totally different experience to any other stay at this hotel We were given a room with a window overlooking the bar and breakfast area so the room was dark and dim. When we asked to be moved due to the room having a connecting door we were told there were no other rooms even though we checked in at 4.15Our experience is that interconnecting rooms are very noisy as you hear everything from next room. Then we realised that we paid twice, the room was prepaid and we paid £30 less at check in When we questioned this she immediately said it was easy to cancel as it hadn’t been processed yet, when I asked why it was £30 cheaper she didn’t have an answer. Overall a disappointing stay after such good stays in the past Business travellers

Great family room for an overnight stay with our granddaughter while visiting Pepper Pig world.We had emailed ahead enquiring about breakfast as she is a Coeliac.Very quick reply that the chef would be happy to advise us and to speak to staff beforehand.All the staff were very friendly.The lovely chef cooked gluten free toast and told us all the foods that were suitable.It really made our stay so much easier.The selection of food for breakfast was very good and would definitely recommend and return one day.
