I arrange for about 20 work colleagues to have a Christmas lunch here - as usual some wanted dinner some wanted a sandwich and a bowl of chips etc. so it was really tricky to tell the Staff exactly what we wanted and especially at the busiest time of year so in my heart of hearts thought this was going...

I came up to Winchester with my Mum and younger daughter to visit my eldest daughter at Winchester University and to have some retail therapy at the Christmas market. The rooms were lovely, we had one each, my girls in one and me and Mum next door. Beautiful clean rooms, amazing shower complete with slippers and robes. My youngest has...

We booked 2 rooms in this "pub with rooms" just outside Winchester. The superior room was just that, with walk-in rain shower, robes, slippers and the other trappings of a luxury hotel. The family room was more basic, but still large enough for 4 of us, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was good, if a little slow in coming. Food is...

Beautiful inn, lovely food but our stay was ruined by the fact that our room (5) was next to the plant room and the constant droaning noise meant we had a very broken sleep and woke up feeling like we had just finished a night shift :-( . Also , be aware that there is decking surrounding all of the...

We stayed here earlier in the week due to the close proximity to Winchester. The room was excellent, very well appointed. The bed was so comfortable and there were feather pillows - unusual in this day and age and such a luxury. We decided to have dinner there and the service was cheerful and polite, and the food was imaginative...

Stayed one night in newly completed room in annex. Comfortable, clean with good free WiFi connection. Bathroom small but more than adequate. Staff helpful and friendly. Went out of their way to assist with charging the battery of my ancient car. Evening meal was excellent and breakfast was good if a little slow. Bar had good selection of beer. All...

Stayed in one of the newer superior rooms. Couldn't see any difference in size for the old standard rooms (in fact decor in standard rooms looked nicer) and tucked down the back of the car park felt a bit like you were in old style holiday chalets, so definitely not worth the extra cost. Also no sheer/ blind for the...

We spent one night here on our drive through England country side, it is about 6km outside of Winchester town centre, in a gorgeous country side setting, it has plenty of on site parking and the rooms are all brand new with very comfy beds and a great bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities in the room, all rooms are...
