Great pub and B&B good location close to the Cathedral, very small car park and lots of the roads are closed around the hotel and Cathedral until November 2017 The breakfast was £15 a person on top of the £120 a night. We stayed over the narrow road from the Pub in the post box, classed as a luxury room....

Stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely time. The room was comfortable and clean. We stayed in a luxury double and even though it wasn't a massive room it had an amazing bathroom with huge shower and claw foot slipper bath. The room was warm and quiet at the top of the building. Good selection for breakfast with...

Meal was ok, maybe overpriced for what we had, some dishes better (and hotter) than others but generally ok. However the apple, pear and rhubarb crumble had a strange taste.. think it might have been down to a reaction between the oxalic acid in the rhubarb and the cast iron dish it was cooked and served in.... we're still alive...

I'm a little torn between a 3 star and 4 star rating on this property - I'd really prefer to give it a 3.5. I stayed there for one night and had dinner with a business colleague. He lives locally and recommended The Wykeham Arms so it certainly has its fans. If you want a Winchester hotel in the centre...

Great old, traditional pub filled with memorabilia in a higgledy piggledy setting. Good food, great wines and beers, log fire and amazing or average service, depending on your waiter/waitress. Well worth a visit but recommend you book in advance as always busy.

We had a very warm welcome, our room was large, clean and very comfortable! Excellent touches with complimentary beers in the mini fridge, proper coffee and a cafetière for the Morning. Although the hotel was fully booked it was quiet. Our dinner was excellent with very attentive staff and the pub itself is a real gem! It's in a great...

We had a very pleasant stay here, in the hotel double suite, set aside over the road from the hotel. It's is on two floors, with a double bed upstairs and with a sofa bed downstairs, and a dressing room and large bathroom. Nice welcome from the staff.

Stayed here for one night visiting family in area. Due to work I couldn't get there till late but despite this I was made very welcome and shown to my room by the friendly helpful staff. This place is full of character and what you would call a real English pub. There was a nice selection of Beers. I didnt...

The first thing that was said to me when we arrived for our meal was not how are you or afternoon, the waitress said "we need the table back at 3:30". Hold on a minute we booked the table for a relaxing meal with my family not to be railroaded in stuffing my food down so they can get more...

We are frequent visitors to Winchester and tend to visit another pub locally - however, on this occasion, we were unable to get a seat and, as we had seen this pub as we walked by earlier, and thought it looked like a pub should, we popped in. The entrance doors are quite stunning - curved and inlaid with engraved...
