We stayed last night in the Bowes Lyon room with was spacious, light and nicely decorated. On arrival we were greeted by Michael who made us a hot drink and cake, we have stayed in hundreds of hotels and never had such a lovely welcome. The breakfast was fab and we loved the location with easy access to the city and a 5 minute walk to a Chinese restaurant and a further 2 minute walk to a local Wetherspoons. We will definitely come back next time we stay in Hereford.

Stayed in October after postponing trip from Storm Eunice. Host Michael could not have been more accommodating & made us feel very welcome. Beautiful historic home with homely touches and tasteful decor. Rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast delicious (vegans/vegetarians easily catered for). Free parking and easy walk to centre makes it an ideal location to visit the city.

Visited the Aylestone Court for an overnight stay and an afternoon tea gathering for a birthday. The rooms were well fitted with everything needed for a very comfortable stay, spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was ordered the previous evening and also the time you would like to have it. This is because everything is cooked/prepared freshly when you arrive in the dining room. Have to say, the sausages were the best we had had for along time. The staff were friendly and very helpful and couldn’t do enough to please. An informal atmosphere and very welcoming. Have never been to Hereford before but wouldn’t now dream of staying anywhere else should I return.

Hotel easy to find and within a fairly easy walking distance to the city centre. We stayed for one night and were given the Bowes-Lyon room at the front of house. Noise from the busy road was virtually unheard and was not a problem. Although the overall impression was that the decor was a little old fashioned everywhere was spotlessly clean, the room was large with an excellent Vispring bed and a sofa. The usual facilities for making drinks were provided along with things like hair dryer, iron and ironing board, fan heater. We enjoyed an excellent full cooked breakfast in the pleasant conservatory.

We were greeted by Michael who immediately supplied us with coffee and cake on arrival. That’s a first for me! When we’d finished, he took us to our room which was called Bowes Lyon on the first floor. The room was enormous with a king size bed, sofa and three other hard back chairs. There was tea and coffee making facilities, ironing board and iron, plenty of sockets all around the room and a TV. The en-suite was spotless with a shower cubicle, loo and washbasin and lots of fluffy towels. Shower gel and hand wash was also provided. Breakfast was really nice with a bowl of fruit and juice to start, endless coffee and tea, toast and marmalades and jams and I chose the full English with was lovely. I don’t know if they have any rooms downstairs for disabled guests, if not, then this hotel is not for you if you have mobility issues. Plenty of free parking outside and it’s a 5-10 minute walk into the pedestrianised area of shops. In my opinion, this is in a perfect position from town, and for the cost, very good value. If I’m in Hereford again, I will definitely stay here.

Fabulous listed Georgian building only 10 minutes walk from Hereford centre.
Room we had was on the 3rd floor and stairs all the way so if you have mobility issues make sure you let them know. We were in Frederick William, a large spacious room with a King size bed which was very comfortable. Very clean throughout but rusty loo brush and toilet roll holder didn't look good.
Breakfast was served by Michael, one of the owners who was the perfect host and food was excellent. Massive selection of marmalades and jams from local suppliers. The lemon and ginger marmalade was particularly good! Plenty of free parking on site

Our family enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea in the Garden Room to celebrate a special occasion. The food was great (catering for vegetarians & gluten-free) and we were particularly impressed by the service. Staff were friendly and helpful and looked after us so well.
Some of our party stayed overnight. Our rooms were comfortable, and again, nothing was too much for staff who ensured our stay was an enjoyable one.
Booking was easy and Michael was so helpful. Aylestone Court Hotel has plenty of parking and is conveniently located, within a short stroll into town.

The Aylestone Court Hotel is an absolute gem of a B&B. Located off the A465 in a lovely Georgian house in an walled yard, it has plenty of parking. It is within comfortable walking distance of the historical center of Hereford. When I was there the restaurant had not reopened (due to Covid) but there were several places to eat within a 5 minute walk. Quite simply, I loved my time at the Aylestone Court Hotel (2 June - 10 June); I was quite sorry that I had to leave. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Adam with the offer of a drink or tea/coffee and a snack. (Drinks are also available until 22:00.) The hotel is comprised of quite a few en suite rooms of varying sizes spread out on two floors. All the furniture and fittings are period - appropriate and utterly charming; fresh flowers were everywhere. My room was was on the third floor, quite nicely sized, with plenty of storage and small, utilitarian bathroom. A geyser (?) powered the shower so there was ALWAYS plenty of hot water. Although the hotel is located on one of the main roads (A465) into Hereford, my room was very quiet. Breakfast was served in a lovely, bright and elegantly proportioned (double-cube?) room that looked to be an addition....perhaps a ballroom? I always had an English breakfast that Michael (the owner) and Adam graciously customized for me. Adam and Michael treated me and my fellow travelers as honored guests. I've been traveling to the UK for 50 years and the Aylestone Court Hotel is one of the very best B and B's I've stayed at.

Great welcome from the host, wonderful location and ample parking. Beautiful building with lots of original features. All facilities you could need in the room, including iron and ironing board. Shower a little small, but with such a gorgeous building no surprise as its preference for an en-suite.
Breakfast was scrumptious with a great selection of cold and quality ingredients for the cooked.
Would stay here if we were to visit Hereford again

Came here for a couple of nights while visiting the Hay Festival.
Hotel is 3 minute walk from the train station and ideal for both exploring Hereford and catching the bus out to Hay.
We had a room on the first floor - bright and airy with big windows overlooking the garden. The bed was comfy and the towels large. Plenty of tea and coffee and we were asked if we wanted fresh milk on coming in on the first evening.
We had to order breakfast the day before which wasn’t an issue. The veggie breakfast and the omelettes were great.
All in all - great little place and good value for money.
