Lovely room, spotlessly clean. Breakfasts in Beefeater, have to give a special mention for Karen who seemed to be running the breakfast room single handed. She did an amazing job, was so friendly and lots of fun. This lady deserves a raise, she is a credit to the company she works for. Thank you Karen ❤️

The hotel was clean, comfortable and very good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. However due to the recent storms we were unable to travel back. Staff and customer service insisted on charging as a new booking rate which was almost twice as much as I have paid for the previous two nights. I feel Premier Inn should empower those to allow discretionary discount under extraordinary circumstances to maximise customer satisfaction. Further conversations with customer service have been ignored.

We stayed here for two nights. The location is good - right on the northern edge of the city, next to the main road in but fairly quiet. The Shropshire hills are not far away. The lady at reception was very friendly. The room was quite small and very dusty. There's no ventilation except for the window which only opens an inch. No air-conditioning (they make this clear on the website) so even though it was cool outside, the room was very stuffy. The Beefeater pub next door does the breakfasts but at £10 per head we went elsewhere. We did have a drink there in the evening, but there are only a few tables for drinking, the rest is for dining. Good location, friendly people, but I really wouldn't recommend staying here on a hot day.

Our room - No. 33, was large, comfortable and absolutely immaculate. The bathroom was pristine and I felt the housekeeping team had gone that extra mile to deep clean and make their customers feel safe. There was secondary glazing in the already double glazed windows, so we had a quiet and very restful sleep - the mattress was extremely comfortable. Parking is free and their is an excellent Beefeater next door, where we had a very good meal on our first night. Cannot recommend this Premier Inn highly enough. Friendly reception staff and spotless accommodation. Perfect! 10/10.

Friendly & helpful receptionist. We asked why there was no Channel 32 (Sony films) available. Although she couldn't sort out the problem she did try. We were on the first floor, facing the car park so did not experience road noise from the front of the hotel. Did, however, experience the heat! Outside wasn't particularly warm, around 22 degrees I'd say, but in the room........ whoa! They have standard type fans in the rooms which didn't seem to make a great deal of difference. Additionally the bathroom was teeny tiny compared to other Premiers I've stayed at. Beefeater breakfast not good. I'm used to a hearty Premier Inn breakfast, but due to Covid there's no longer a buffet, everything is cooked to order. Sausage *looked* raw because it'd been microwaved, as had the truly horrid mushroom, scrambled egg was ordinary egg chopped up, bacon was 50/50 fat to (again microwaved) actual bacon. Girl who served us was very friendly, but that doesn't make up for what she served. Don't know if the chef had a day off & someone who can't cook stood in for him... that's how it seemed, because the previous night the meal was fine! All in all, the accommodation gets 7 out of 10 and restaurant 5 out of 10 because of the evening meal (otherwise it would be 1/10 for effort!)

The accommodation is as you would expect from a premier .. clean warm and comfortable and at £35 per room , an absolute bargain ..couldn’t fault it even in these COVID face mask restriction madness ...However , take your own food because the beefeater next door was without doubt the worst breakfast experience we have ever had . Time slotted breakfast each day, 45 mins wait for food that was really cold except for the butter portion that was soo hot it all dropped out of the wrapper ! I know there are restrictions , but when the only hot food you do in the morning is sausages bacon beans and hash browns, and you only have a small proportion of your tables in use , it really isn’t rocket science to have enough cooked at seven in the morning . If you havnt enough staff ,don’t take bookings!!!!!

The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful but ultimately the room was stiflingly hot. The windows open about an inch or two for safety , which is fine and I understand the need for that but crikey it was warm! There is no air con and it was not possible to adjust the thermostat in the room. Due to Covid-19 , they were not routinely cleaning the rooms each day but you can request things if needed. We asked for clean towels , new tea bags and milk and all of these were quickly provided.
We stayed for three nights.

Staff excellent, room clean. Free spacious car park. Room a little noisy next to the main road, but much reduced impact with (double glazed) window tightly shut, and bed comfortable. Breakfasts provided by the Beefeater just across car park where the staff were very good. The "continental breakfast (6.99) was pretty limited, but the "full" breakfast(8.99) was well worth the cost.

A basic hotel which was clean and reasonably comfortable but the breakfast was very disappointing - not the usual Premier Inn breakfast. It took over 10 minutes to order a cooked breakfast and when it arrived it tasted like it had sat out for some time. The buffet was in a very small enclosed area (impossible to socially distance) and was not well stocked. Our room was quite dark and there was lots of traffic noise when window was open but there was double glazing which cut most of the sound out.

Writing this via my mobile hotspot which I can just about get from the inside door of the lobby at Premier Inn Derby East. I have just read of a similar problem at Premier Inn Hereford which has spurred me on to write this. People need to know and put pressure on Premier Inn/Virgin to resolve this. I have had 2 stays at Premier Inns this summer. The first was in Gargrave, North Yorkshire. My Windows PC Laptop will NOT connect to the wifi. They have given me a free ultimate login to try both times but the issue is the verification page will not boot up. My PC shows the network is there but when I try to connect it shows an error. There is no way to put my details in anywhere. I have read all the "hacks" available such as inputting the hotel's IP address. It simply doesn't work. And to add insult to injury I cannot get any signal on my phone in the room so I can't even set up a hotspot.

Premier Inn has always been my "go to". Having phoned the Virgin helpline in August and have them blame a Windows update that would shortly e resolved I have chosen Premier Inn again now it is October. But the same issue is there.
Have had to work from my car in the car park all of yesterday to get a hotspot. Fortunately this morning I have found a corner of the lobby where my phone has signal.

Whatever Premier Inn/Virgin have changed, its not good enough. Come on guys, sort it out. This will be my last stay having been a faithful customer. You have lost the people from Hereford who are moving to Holiday Inn. How many more will be switching before you get this resolved?
