On the plus side - Staff were very friendly and the place has a lot of character. The adjoining bar and restaurant are reasonable, comfortable and pleasant. Was clean. There is a garden area to sit out in when the weather is good. On the downside - The first room allocated to us had a loud noise (fans or air-conditioning)...

The rooms, though not huge , were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was fresh and sufficient with clean towels daily. Great shower. The mattress however, was lumpy due to the space between the springs having lost its volume. A topper matress would address this problem as the bed itself was quite comfortable. This would stop me from booking at...

Arrived with my girlfriend and as I look young for my age I was asked for ID. The passport I handed to the staff member wasn't sufficient enough (as the picture in the passport was outdated apparently). I felt this situation was handled insensitively and I wasn't given respect 'as the paying customer'. We were woken up by a maid...

We had a voucher for a one night hotel stay as a gift and so decided to visit St Albans to see a relative. We booked a second night but after the one night could not possibly face another night. There was the most awful noise vibrating through the room from some sort of generator which was very loud. It...

stayed one night - rooms are quaint and cosy rather than pristine as you would expect from an old inn - owner more than honest that they are a pub with rooms. staff were friendly and helpful and food was very good with lovely bar and restaurant and garden too. Good value and great location but has character rather than...

Visited during a business trip to St Albans. Excellent location just off J22 of M25. Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Comfortable, spacious, clean and quiet room with tea/coffee making facilities. Great night's sleep. Free Wi-fi. Free parking. Excellent value for money taking advantage of a winter deal offer for just £39 B&B. Continental breakfast was included in the price....

Great Night sleep in a beautiful pub. Well placed in London Conley with very friendly staff. Room was a very nice size with ensuite and a double bed. The continental breakfast was well stocked and there was the option to upgrade to a fully cooked breakfast. Overall great value for money as it was under £80 for two

We stayed overnight to attend a Christmas party nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the Manager even lent me his sewing kit (thanks so much!)! The room was clean and a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable. The late checkout time was brilliant. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here! P.S. To the person who'd...

Nice room,if a little small, and bathroom likewise. But fine for an overnight stay. Warm welcome and nice to be actually taken to our room. Continental breakfast was included and this was the disappointment. Very limited - no yoghurts ,pastries ,ham or cheese and no prepared fruit. Didn't want a full English but expected more than there was on offer.
