We arrived at Westcourt, having booked for four nights. We received a very warm welcome. There were fresh baked muffins in our room. The farmhouse is more than 500 years old and is listed. After a very warm welcome, we were shown to our very spacious room. There was a settee as well as an armchair in the room. The bed was comfortable. The entire house is full of character. The parking is easy and right in front of the house. The breakfast each morning was just amazing. Everything we wanted was there to eat. Our hostess was full of information about local attractions, and was always keen to hear about our day on returning. We would definitely stay again, and would thoroughly recommend Westcourt Farm. It’s a working farm by the way.

Amazing old farmhouse to stay in with a great hostess in Julie Russel who made us feel at home cooked us delicious breakfasts and was generally very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely go there again for another stay when we visit the Isle of Wight. 5 stars

Beautiful Manor House with great character. Our en suite room was comfy and spacious. Julie soon made us feel at home with her warm friendly manner. homemade cakes and amazing breakfasts. The house is in a quiet location, yet not far from the main roads ready for you to explore the wonderful Island. Thank you Julie for your kindness nothing was ever to much trouble for you. We will definitely stay again. Di and Jim x

We stayed at Westcourt Farm during our walking holiday around the coastal path. Julie picked us up and dropped us off the next morning which was greatly appreciated! The breakfast was really tasty with lots of choice and local produce. The room and ensuite were spacious and comfortable and the grounds were beautiful (we had a picnic in the evening whilst watching the sheep in the adjacent field). It was a very relaxing and lovely stay!

We highly recommend Westcourt Farm and were so delighted to find it - we arrived to a very warm and friendly welcome from Julie who was our host whilst David was busy Lambing! The farm is delightful, quaint and cosy and our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and so peaceful. The breakfast was excellent and Julie could not do enough for us. Thank you very much and we will definitely stay again. Nikki & Kevin x

Lovely setting, beautiful breakfast, off the beaten track a little (even though main road at the end of the drive) and out in the middle of nowhere which is ideal. Really quirky house - nothing straight, just really lovely. Nothing too much trouble for Julie. Thank you

Westcourt Farm is a bit out of the way for many Island attractions but that is no ctiticism. It is a peaceful setting and, of course, nowhere on the Isle of Wight is excessively distant. The welcome was great, the room comfortable - allowing for the quirkiness of a 16th century building (plumbing slightly dodgy) - and the breakfast superb. A much better choice than an impersonal hotel.

We arrived at Westcourt Farm in the lovely village of Shorewell and were warmly welcomed by Julie Russell. The bed and breakfast is full of character and very comfortable. Our room was large and had a very comfy bed. There was a good choice of cereals and fruit and the cooked breakfasts were excellent. There are only 3 rooms so the cosy dining room means that the guests have the opportunity to chat as a group. One of the couples had been there several times and I could see why they would! It’s a very picturesque rural location and of course nothing would be far away on a small island. I would recommend Westcourt Farm.

This house is surely one of England's finest in terms of location, looks, atmosphere and general perfectness. (The feelings were magnified by the fact we had left a Shanklin dump after one evil night and Westcourt Farm had a room and a welcome for us.) Julie's welcome was so friendly and efficient. The room overlooking the working farmyard was excellent - cosy and ideally furnished. No little plastic tubes of coffee or prissy individual tea bag packets here - oh no. A collection of little tins with loose coffee, tea and sugar was great to see (and use). The bed was excellent and the whole place was wonderfully quiet. We sat in the big garden for a peaceful read before going for an evening meal at the local pub (The Crown Inn) and that was wonderful too. (Sit outside before you eat and you can chat to the ducks loitering in the trout stream.) Breakfast was brilliant, quick, well cooked (with proper sausages and bacon) and thoroughly yummy. All-in-all a superb B&B which was definitely exceptional value for money. Give it a go (but don't tell anyone else about it in case I want to book to go back: I don't want to be disappointed by it being full.)…
