Absolutely stunning views beautiful cottage on farm land. Accommodation was excellent with everything we needed. Very peaceful no traffic noise but five minutes away you're on the road to wherever you want to go on the island can honestly say I have nothing to complain about thanks for a fantastic holiday

The cottage we stayed in was well equipped, very clean and had everything we needed. Very peaceful and tranquil regardless of the time of day. The host was very helpful but totally unobtrusive. The night sky was awesome (no light pollution). I would have given it 5 stars but it’s just a tad too far from a local shop or provisions so a car is necessary if you have older folks with you. I went for a couple of runs which were a super challenge due to the location in the hills.

Immediately from pulling into the courtyard, we could tell this was going to be a stunning location to spend a week. We have never found a more peaceful, well presented and comfortable place to stay. The hosts are as you would always hope for, very accommodating, and obviously sharing with their guests a place they are proud of. Nothing could have been better.

Cannot rate this place enough. The cottage was spotless and equipped with everything we needed for the week for our getaway. Surrounded by beautiful fields and scenery. Owners were lovely and welcoming. Would definitely rebook for next year.

I am living in Australia but originally born and bred on the Isle of Wight, We stayed at Newbarn Cottages at Gatcombe for 2 weeks in October 2018, cottage was clean, quaint and more than big enough for two people, Steve the owner was friendly and very helpful. As an ex islander I knew my way around the Island so I knew that Gatcombe was very quiet. Some supplies were supplied but it is close enough to supermarkets in Newport for groceries. I would stay there again it was excellent value.

Have just returned from a fabulous week at New Barn. Location is great, it's literally middle of island with all the top attractions and main beaches within a short car journey. The cottages are in a stunning peaceful location & very well maintained. We stayed in Stable cottage which was very spacious & comfortable. A great base for exploring the beautifal island. Definitely recommend. (Steve was also very helpful both in run up and during holiday.)

Had a wet and windy week on the Isle of Wight but the Parlour Cottage more than made up for the weather. Super three bedroom conversion, well laid out to provide plenty of space with all "mod cons". Nicely furnished, comfy beds, an outside courtyard area for when the sun does shine and green space for any children to play on. Very quiet and relaxing area but ideal to explore the island either using the car or the many walking trails. Interesting to find out about the history of the farm from manager Steve. Would highly recommend this holiday accommodation.

We have just spent an extremely relaxing week in the most comfortable Stable Cottage. Long walks in the surrounding countryside seeing the most amazing scenery. Beautiful beaches within a short driving distance. Thank you to the Owners and Manager Steve for a wonderful week's holiday.

Very nice Isle of Wight country cottages. Perfect for all ages and families, the country cottages are lovely and fully equipped and the setting is beautiful. Central location on the island so you can easily drive to all beaches and shops.
